I've been trying to win the gr3/4 races and that's nigh on impossible I'm finding. Even googling the best cars and set ups just doesn't seem to cut it. It looks like it's not uncommon for them to change which cars can win a race when they roll out updates. Here i am blowing valuable cash on different cars and still ending up with 6th or worse. The BoP detunes are horrific on some tracks especially when it seems there's no restrictions on the other cars. One flubbed corner and 3 cars go past you and you'll never catch them again yet I had an ai leave the track in front of me and he was somehow still able to recover and I didn't even get up to his bumper. It's super frustrating!

Managed to get S-9 last night after just over an hour of trying. Honestly thought I'd never get it.

Think I'll really struggle with the last two. Laguna Seca I'm just nowhere close with it. I cannot get the hang of that car real well and then the one at Spa seems mostly difficult due to being such a large lap. Even if you've nailed say the first two thirds of it, it only takes one poor corner to completely **** the whole thing.

I manged to gold all the original license tests, never bothered with the second lot they added.

This was a few years ago though so I can't offer any tips. A few were definite nightmare fuel, but eventually managed to get there after watching YT tips.

Update today. 3 new cars. One a Chinese EV I'd never even heard of. I modded it straight away and could barely keep it straight for the first lap. :tearsofjoy:

Beautiful looking Porsche. Haven't had a go yet.

Brocky's hill is getting a bit of a run these last few weeks in the Friday challenges.
 
Iā€™ve only heard terrible things about that Chinese EV.

Might go have a crack at them now.

Up to the enduros in the power pack and itā€™s just going to be the worst slog. A 24 hour race will take me a fortnight to complete haha

All 3 teamed up the other day to do the Le Mans 12hr


2hrs left and Lupson immediately gets into a 45min battle with a faster car

I don't know what any of that is but I just started the 6 hour endurance race at Suzuka earlier after I finished the weekly stuff. I only got 10 minutes in before I was falling asleep and had to turn it off. Think I'm 18th. I'm sure it's only going to get worse.

I did the 8 hrs of Spa race over the last 3 days. 211 laps completed and to be completely honest, I don't need to see that track again for some time. What a punish.

The 24 hour ones are going to be so brutal. At least the Nurburgring is big enough that it doesn't constantly feel like you're in a giant loop.

I hate the Suzuka track and the Le Mans track - might give it a couple of months before I crack onto those.

Bought the 20 million dollar 1938 Alfa Romeo just to complete the Alfa menu. Nice car but no way I'm hanging onto it. Get the prize ticket and it's 500k. Go to sell the Alfa. Has Immediately lost 10 million in value. So I effectively paid 10 million dollars for a 500k ticket. This game really enjoys kicking you in the nuts.

Collect maybe. Keep, I doubt it. Just don't want to hang onto expensive cars i know i won't drive. The other thing that happened just after I bought the Alfa was that the ferrari 250 gto I'd had the 20 million sitting there for finally appeared again šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ This ****ing game.. so that's why I decided to realise my losses on the Alfa.

Haha yes, thatā€™s fair enough. Iā€™ve still got to collect that Ferrari as well. Iā€™ve got too many menuā€™s to collect still and not enough credits to go around.

Oh I did that with the Nurburgring as well. Thought Iā€™d try doing the 2 harder cars. Got 2 hours in and was 2 mins behind. Kept thinking maybe Iā€™d catch up at night or in the rain but I didnā€™t want to invest any more time in it based on ā€˜maybeā€™. Very annoying though, the 1 chilli car I was miles behind, the standard car and Iā€™m 2 mins ahead.
 
I've got 9 hours to go in the 24hr Nurburgring race.

Had a potentially very silly moment - I'd left the game paused after playing while my 18 month old had a nap. He loves playing with the steering wheel, but I'd had the door shut so thought it would be safe. My wife opened the door at some point and then later noticed he was playing on it. I didn't realise that meant he'd actually been playing the game...started it again last night once the boys were asleep and noticed I was 2 and a half mins down...he'd managed to hit the right button to come out of the pause menu and was actually driving the car. Thankfully he managed to hit the start button again otherwise I would've wasted 13 hours of driving to that point.

I've just come out of the night and in to the early morning. It must be said, it's an incredible track. I wouldn't say I'm completely sick of it yet but I'm ready to drive a different track again. I'm a lap ahead of every other car (some of them 2 laps) and my fastest lap time is roughly 8:07.

Currently 105 laps completed.
 
New update with 3 cars too. A Camaro an rx7 and some shitty suv which they appear to love doing for some reason.

Finished the 24 hour race, ended up winning by 2 laps. Spun a ridiculous amount of times so if you can do it cleanly, I reckon you could win it by plenty more.

171 laps in the end.

Might have a bit of a break from this for the time being :sweatsmile:
