Crazy thought, but could ROB sue the AFL for restraint of trade?
They introduced rules that deliberately reduced his ability to performhis job, effectively seeing him unemployable.

I toyed with bowling leg spin briefly

Then the law makers changed the rules so that a full toss above the waist was a no ball for all bowlers, not just quicks. It used to be above the shoulder for spinners.

Suddenly my wicket ball was taken away. Leg spin career dreams up in smoke. Umpired out of the game.

I bet in ROB's court case that the opposing lawyer would show footage of that shin kick, and when he headed the ball to Sidebottom for a goal!

If I was crows coach I'd strongly consider bringing ROB in against Geelong. They used Blicavs and Mitch Edwards this weekend. With O'Brien having a decent height advantage over Blicavs it negates the new rule to an extent and then ROB can go head to head with him tank wise (relative to what Ibis can do) and the Mcandrew can part ruck against Blicavs and go against the Taller Edwards who doesn't have much TOG.

Given a few niggles in the senior side and a 6 day break I reckon a few wouldnt be playing.

Think I was the only bigfootyite at Magain. South kept us in it with their lousy kicking. Would have been much harder for us to win if they'd been on target early.
Maley looks like he could debut next week and not be out of place. Edwards must get a game soon. He was very good around the ball. Marsh had good moments. I was surprised how tall he is. Took a towering mark late in the game.
Cotton did some good things. He came from behind for a great spoil, landed on his feet, got around his opponent, one-handed pickup, two bouces and topped off with a handball putting a runner into space.
O'Brien was okay, but I was less impressed than the coach. Was often in poor positions in the first half. Held his own in the ruck, especially at stoppages.
Think Dowling and Sholl only played the 1st half. Both played well.
A lot of the game was played on the outer flank as it always is at Magain. Big ground and I had difficulty reading numbers, and as I'm unfamiliar with our newbies I'm sure I missed a lot.
We were fitter and stronger than the South chaps. Ran right over them in the last quarter.

I disagree, the coverage you get for what is a very reasonable subscription fee is excellent. Live streams and replays of all levels of both male and female games.

Fair enough … it’s an opinion. I don’t like one camera miles away from the action with substandard or no commentary. 90 bucks a year for a semi amateur competition. kayo cost me 280, and I have loads of choices. One third the price of kayo for not much.

I dont mind SANFL Now coverage, but I agree it's overpriced. The local soccer people show their content on YouTube for free. Some of the country leagues show their match of the day on YouTube. I like the GSL. Sponsorship covers the cost.

Well I think it's excellent value for money.

Well I think it's excellent value for money.

The value to me is that it shows every level of SANFL. I enjoy the U18 and reserves. The cost is high imho, but I'm happy to pay for mine. The money goes straight into SANFL coffers. Pity that they couldn't do a deal to include it in club memberships.
It's a good thing for where you live in country Vic.
I notice Fox has the VFL comp on there atm.
