For those getting carried away with our wins over Melbourne and Richmond…. Look at what Carlton are doing to the Dees, annihilating them.

Or a Carlton Fremantle grand final maybe?

But seriously, is anyone actually getting carried away with wins against those sides? I haven't seen it

Yeah most people seem to be pretty circumspect about the last couple of weeks.

Melbourne also woke up in that last 10 mins. Burned 2 or 3 golden chances. I'd be a touch nervous given their history.

What was Yeo's injury? He seemed to be off the ground in the last quarter - maybe earlier but I wasn't paying close attention until the last quarter. Only 35% game time. Brodie 2nd lowest time on ground with 42%.

Did the umps make a mistake with that double grab mark to Horne-Francis. I saw the call was touched but it looked clean to me.

Yeo's injury was strange from what I saw, because I thought he was on the ground in the dying seconds of the 2nd quarter and then was on the bench injured for the start of the 3rd.

Horne-Francis should have been paid the mark and Hardly Reid was paid a half volley mark the resulted in him kicking a goal. So there was an obvious 2 goal advantage to the Slime from bad forward50 umpiring decisions.

Not really bothered by the result, just think it's bad when umpires don't pay good marks.

Haha, i knew you would have posted this before I even opened the thread.

What about the fact that Carlton only just beat Richmond. Oh yeah, that one doesn't fit the narrative.

People are quick to forget Carlton always start well and fade badly in the second half. Melbourne already pegging them back.

Plus, Melbourne were actually garbage the first half. As WC have shown the last fortnight, pressure and intent will still get you a long way, regardless of talent.

Jeez it pains me to say West Coast have been playing some entertaining football the past couple of weeks.

They will scare a few teams.

Peak AFL headline “Eagles overcome sluggish start”. No shit. 9.30am our time. Most athletes hate midday starrs - let alone anything earlier than that for their body clocks.

The BBC interviewed a whole bunch of Premier league players years ago and they all hated the 12.30 starts because of how early they had to get up to eat. They usually couldn’t eat their pre game favourites because it was too early to eat something so carb heavy. Can’t find the original article as it was probably 10-15 years ago but it’s unaffectionately called “the breakfast slot” as a result.

Imagine if that was another three hours earlier. They did well to overcome the disadvantage.

Yuck. Just threw up a little. Out of all the teams I wouldn’t want to play in a GF, Carltank are number one. Can you imagine the contrived theatre that the AFL would coordinate to ensure one of its old boy clubs with a painful history wins in epic fashion over an irrelevant WA club? The bare-faced cheating we witnessed in Gather Round or the after the siren goal to Newnes would pale in comparison.

Friends, I am here to tell you...
Carlton are :poodle::poov1:
So are Melbourne

I will melt if this team loses to either this season.

And IMO a draw would be the funniest result :)
