Asking lifelong Carlton members and supporters for patience, who have endured all that modern Carlton have provided us, is………something.

Very little, if any, goodwill or patience left.

Club has NOT earned the luxury of a ‘gap’ year imo.

Well if there was another option where we could wave a magical wand that fixes everything, I'd talk about taking it.

Reality is, we're in a really bad position... list wise, coaching wise and that will not be getting fixed any time soon unfortunately...

Doesn’t make sense… Voss is getting paid the year regardless so why have him (Voss) imposing any authority onto other coaches and players for 2026 when he’s bringing nothing. GW it doesn’t make you look “new Carlton” to be doing that, it actually makes you very Carlton being so stupid and stubborn.
You might be onto something there..

it does appear like GW in particular view the list as the issue nd they obviously accepted that voss didnt have the necessary support either....

not sure what the kpi is for voss this year but it would be a terrible outcome if he somehow got an extension.

would be shockingly bad imo.

So when you say Process... you mean Sham Process...

Prendercast boys this week, of which one is close with Kingsley told the story that...

Kingsley was getting calls of commiseration for not getting the job from his ex Port colleagues, the day before his Carlton interview

As Carlton had already given it to good optics Voss and he had already told Port Adelaide...

Kingsley hadnt even interviewed

Sham Process.

And while we are at remembering it...

Sayers ran with Get Clarko, Get Lyon, Get Clarko all whilst Teague was still employed... then it was Process...

Not sure, not what I’ve heard.

But, wasn’t it them giving the “story” that Kingsley was preferred by the committee, which was overruled by the board?

This new story is dramatically different to that story.
Why the 2 different versions?
I wouldn’t be putting much faith in it.

We are Carlton. And if Voss is extended then GW is a plant by someone with an agenda.

The case for Josh Fraser as an interim in the near term is to switch the focus entirely to development for the rest of this season.

I see little point in leaving Voss in the role for that purpose.

I honestly believe that before the bye Wright will tell Voss we won’t be re-signing you and will be going in another direction. They will then mutually agree to go asap

This will be done to bring in an interim with mantra to test the list and youth we have

This will allow Wright/Davies clear air to go hard looking at coaches whilst assessing list before end of season

That makes sense i guess but why not do it earlier...?

gives more time for Wright/Davies clear air to go hard looking at coaches whilst assessing list before end of season

Yep... I sure did...

It's even better than that now Z...

If we make a bid before we draft, we get a free band 2 compo pick.

Bid on Cochrane, Port will 100% match.

Then we draft Butler, then match the Cody bid.

We'd bring in two of the top 3 talents and have pick 19 up our sleeve for free...

We'd actually be negligent as a club to not capitalise on this opportunity.

I actually think GW's decision not to sack Voss last year is actually part of this plan.. he knew we'd turn to complete shit this year with him as coach.

People just need patience.

Harden up mate 😉
We need to walk Walter through the PSD as well.
He’s a 10 year KPF investment and after flicking Williams, McGovern and the like at seasons end we’d have ample cap space to make him an offer he can’t refuse …

I think that the problem Wright has is that he didn't move on Voss when many thought he would and should. Having supported him against the odds like that it would be a terrible look if he were to sack him 4 games in. I think he's glued himself to Voss and if he were to sack him now it would be an admission that he'd ******it up and he would just about be honor bound to resign his position

hope you are right.

The decision to dump Jagga from the midfield for Cerra just sums Voss up. Completely divorced from the modern game and spineless to make a big selection call (eg leave Cerra out, drop Hewett). Just hopeless.

Picking Cerra straight in after not playing in 6 weeks…

Voss is discounting last years second half fade-outs pointing out how many new players we have. You can’t fix the problem if you’re ignoring the problem or if those new to the club aren’t responsible for fade outs then the buck stops with the senior players and coach surely.

I don’t care who owns it I just want a coach who can fix it

I think that timeline is logical but not sure if the club will withstand much more over the next few weeks with every loss that comes our way unless there is a change I know I'm done.

The only hope I have this year is that I can see the list with a different leader at the helm with a different approach.

I think the only way we deviate from this plan is if we get embarrassed over the next few games

I don't rate Voss but ultimately he picks the team to achieve his plan of contest, territory domination and repeat entries. He's added new layers of overlap run and transition but it seems something that only sticks for 20-40 minutes.

My concern is the players can't sustain it, the leaders don't believe in him (imo) and the game plan is too fragile to survive pressure from the opponent.

The leaders don't seem to lead except by occasionally performing a solo effort. Lead by example, not by authority.

I said it before and saying it again, how is the problem not coaching, all the players we got from other clubs this year have gone backwards.....players have no idea what's Going on, dishevelled.....GW barred Voss from Collingwood and chose Fly, but gave him the tenure here....his clearly not developing anyone, he gets paid either way, staying or going at the club.....As some one suggested before why keep him if he isnt contributing positively....
