We are by far and away the worst team in the comp at finding the open players inside 50 when we're around 60m from goal.

Mind you, there's almost ALWAYS someone available but we either never kick it to them or we butcher the kick to them.

I'm convinced there's no system at the club in terms of delivery inside 50.

And defensively we're terrible too... maybe not Ess bad... but that bar is so low you wouldn't fit worms under it.

I still can't understand why they aren't able to grasp the basics...

When we're lining up for a set shot and kick a behind, the opponents have been able to go coast to coast uncontested from a kick in... even the Eagles did this to us last year ffs. You'd think they'd be able to understand the concept of setting up defensively in case we miss the shot... but nope, not these blokes.

Tai chi and lagavulin will be my friends for this indefinite period ahead.
We ain't coming back from this stuff up for a while. While sos got us some great talent he got us some really average return on premium picks. 23 coulda and shoulda been the year.
Brisbane have rebuilt in parallel and are miles ahead of us and have gone back to back. They also have more than a handful of under 23 yo's who are gems.
The cats continue to be competitive because they are a well run club.
We have this cloud that sits over the club.
No hope, no rainbow just a basket case once again. It's our trademark, our brand, its what we've become in the 21st century.

I was a supporter of Vossie, moreso because of the fire in his belly and the way he played the game. The simple person would think get 23 blokes to play like him and you couldn't lose. Footy is harder these days and we do footy very badly.
Let him coach out the year, run a process and GW should be on the phone to all.
and vossie since your time is up, selection integrity pls.
earn their place in the team and make them wear that navy blue jumper with pride

Watching some of the highlights of the last quarter their mids got on top, putting on immense tackling pressure. Every time we got tge ball we’d cough it back up.

They controlled the game as a result.

We tried really hard but they tried harder…

Mids performances are critical in footy. Lose it there Youll lose the game.

I too would like a coach like King. Most impressive start for a new coach since 2022, when a coach went 8-2. Think it was one M. Voss...

You’ve missed one very important fixture.

We don’t play Freo after Adelaide, we play Collingwood.

IMHO, that’s the perfect opportunity for a dead cat bounce.

Picture this - we get flogged by the crows, Voss is sacked. Club is in turmoil. New caretaker comes in and releases the shackles, lets the players play with freedom. We come out and beat the struggling Pies.

All of a sudden, the joy returns to the supporters, some pride is restored. The Freo game then matters little as they’re a superior team.

Do it Carlton.

Remind me of this if we beat the Pies.
Mentally we can't beat Collingwood.
Watch us drop a 3/4 time lead & perpetuate the pies dominance

we can’t dismiss what coaches are doung.

He’s getting the best out of his players.

That’s all you can ask for from a coach.

Dee’s players mentioned the change in game style under Kingy and how they trained it all over summer.

the whole Dee’s club needs to be commended on the changes/improvements they made over a relatively short period.

Theyve planned it and are now executing it.

We are still trying to work it out.

This is exactly my fear. Players are getting worse, skills are poor and club is in a spiral. Can’t be allowed to keep happening

Fritsch is not "levels above any Carlton player" as the post I replied to stated.

I don't see how he is a better player than McKay. You swap both players and Melbourne get much better and we get much worse.
