We should really be comfortably beating both these teams. Though easier said than done - the Hawks have beaten us handily with some bog average lineups in recent years, so it's never really that simple. I'd be disappointed if we lose to either because it would indicate we're really not that different from the 2025 Dogs

I find it hard to read too much into a game like that where it's so wet and Collingwood are so defensively minded as well

I thought they were very impressive against Adelaide and I feel like they have been trying to play more attacking recently

They've wildly underachieved the past three years in my view because of the poor coaching (we have been in the same boat to be fair). Think their list is in a great spot but as you alluded to, Longmuir is just too cautious. Most of their best footy last year came after they got into a tough position and were forced to take the game on and then they looked brilliant. Game against us was a great example, absolutely atrocious in the first quarter and had no option but to start taking the game on and their midfielders, half backs and key forwards had a field day with the fast ball movement

Collingwood are far less watchable than any other team. Freo were annoying tonight to the degree you questioned whether they actually wanted to win but in general their style is so much better to watch than the pies

Collingwood shoot themselves in the foot so often by insisting on giving it to Daicos. It’s like they would rather Daicos to win individual awards rather than the flag.

This simply isn’t true re: Daicos. Many examples of him just torching teams despite having a hard tag.
