I don't care how nice he is, who likes him, what hes done off field - Darcy Moore is a liability and causes more chaos and problems than he does good. Cant read the ball coming in as the floating back, hits an intended target 1 in 5 attempts and can't lay a tackle to save himself. 2 years now of it being swept aside or ignored even by footy media. Framptons gone past him now and didn't help him at all tonight. Shambolic footballer

You can't fault our endeavour, it was bloody great all night, but Hawthorn generated 10 more scoring shots and dominated large areas of the game on the stats sheet.

Play that game 10 times and the Hawks win 9 IMO.

Both sides ended up missing an opportunity to win but ours was a golden one.

Thought we played well tonight but efficiency in front of goal was why we were in front. It seemed like a matter of time that they would roll us, especially considering our injuries.

Buller can swap with West for next week. Anderson was quiet as too was Steel. Probably lost at selection although the umps seemed to be on our side in the last 10 minutes. We needed to win this game more than Hawthorn.

Fantastic effort overall. We got annihilated out of the centre and at stoppage, but our efficiency going forward was the complete inverse of our past 12 months. Credit to McStay, Schultz, De Goey and a few others forward of centre.

Defensively outstanding too. But Josh not doing better from kick in, Steene and others not killing the contest on the wing, and Moore’s double brain fade really soured what could have been a season-defining performance. Disappointing.

A great game bar the result. We were much better offensively and defensively than they were. A few costly key mistakes to give up goals. Without those we were clearly the better side.

We're on the improve. Undermanned and off a 5 day break, it was an excellent performance.

But did Josh have anyone up short? From the telecast, it looked like everyone was manned up and the long kick was his only choice.

Gritty performance, one to be proud of I think. We’ve shown that our system can hold up against a contender, and we needed a performance like that for belief!

HOWEVER, we kicked 15.3 (didn’t miss in the second half), -28 inside 50’s, -14 centre clearances. How do we even get that close?

Just shows there’s different ways to get it done, but 99 times out of 100 you’re not walking away with 2 points if ya let the stats get out of control like that.

The final moments will be microscopically dissected. One team walks away from a draw feeling like a loser and tonight that’s us. We bottled it when you’d normally rely on us to get it done in a situation like that.
