Honestly though. How ****ing good is Bruzzy?
Wonderful but him jumping in that last contest made it hard for Moore. Has father time caught up with him quickly. Plays out of his skin in the Adelaide final last year and then has no form at all.

There are some seriously unhinged comments in here and we are only 3 pages in 🤣
Honestly watching him has boiled my blood for nesrly 2 years now. If you just focus on him and where hes running or jogging aimlessly in comparison to what hes supposed to he, as well as his lack of effort and football IQ you cannot think he deserves to play at this level. You then look at someone like Bruz busting arse and winning/neutralising 1v2's or desperate attempts to spoil and its ****ing disgusting that this guy calls himself the leader of it all.

And no, he didn't have a picnic with my sister years ago or anything either. He would end up at the wrong park or get distracted by an underground band playing a gig at a cafe down the road

How does one sum up that game

Gutsy underdog performance.
Ridiculous scoring efficiency. So unlike us.
Moore did more harm than good unfortunately.
Ultimately Hawthorn’s inefficiency cost them a win.
Dreading the next injury report!
Yes Nick probably needs a rest

I see way more positives than negatives in tonight.

Loved Crispy's game. Picking up form nicely.

Hayes seems to have a knack for goals. Thats never a bad thing.

I presented Darcy with a big jar of belly button lint at half time and told him he only needed to win this one and Id make it into a statue of him. I do wonder if the anticipation of that joy impacted his performance.
Why is it always about you, Deludo?

Very true.

However, I would say we are now almost the inverse of our 22/23 selves when the game gets tight now.
I don't think that's fair. We held the 7 point lead for almost 5 minutes. Just messed up the last kick in and then everything Moore did in 2 seconds. But aside from that we were all in control.

Also, pendles would have taken that kick in. And we would have won.

All comments on moore are warranted. He has seriously declined since 2023, there is no defending that .
The ONLY comment in his game is that it’s his first game back, but we’ve seen this before as well unfortunately.

Just dumb stuff, being the third man in and spooning his teammates and Clanger kicks etc

Crazy idea….Maybe if Cameron is injured it might be time to send him into the ruck.its not as if he an AA any more ….we can afford to lose him should he get injured

Love how we stick with them for the full four quarters and really only two very late lapses in different quarters lost us this one (at least on the scoreboard). Best four quarter effort I think we've put in all season and against high quality opposition too. Forward six also collectively stood up as a group today when we needed them to against a top-shelf back six.

The midfield situation looks dire though, we can't rely on an 85% conversion rate to cover getting smashed at the stoppages and in contested ball, whilst also facing a large deficit in uncontested possessions around the ground.

Positives and negatives to be had as per usual, but now I think there's a seed of hope that we can actually go with the top teams this year starting to emerge, especially if we can get our stoppage and contested ball game in better order, which is a marked shift from what I'll freely admit I wasn't exactly an overriding sense of optimism after our topsy-turvy start to the season and heading into tonight's game.

What would I give to have Pendles doing that last kick out. Still unsure how we didn’t basically just kick to the line for a punch over.
In fairness, Barass out marked McStay, Steene and Buller. Was a great mark, but an absolutely pea hearted effort by Buller in particular.

Honestly we shouldn't be accepting of the result. Who cares if they're the 'top team'. End of the day we bottled the win with 20 seconds to go. Could've had the same result against Carlton and lost to freo at the end in similar fashion.

Josh kicks it to the pocket, we go longer down the line and we win. Simple as that.

That's the thing. He had these mental and physical errors since 2024. Today wasn't a one of performance.

They will still play Moore in the back line. But this does highlight our need for a key defender as soon as possible.

Frampton is our most reliable kpd and isn't even close. Can you imagine moore as the sole key defender?

You can't fault our endeavour, it was bloody great all night, but Hawthorn generated 10 more scoring shots and dominated large areas of the game on the stats sheet.

Play that game 10 times and the Hawks win 9 IMO.

Both sides ended up missing an opportunity to win but ours was a golden one.
If you think Mitchell is taking comfort that they had 10 more shots you’d be dead wrong. McCrae has just shown all Clubs how to stop the Hawks.

But did Josh have anyone up short? From the telecast, it looked like everyone was manned up and the long kick was his only choice.
I was sitting on level 2 in front of the kick and there was nobody short free , Josh took the only sensible option

Collingwood no longer know how to win Close Games anymore

We know how to Stuff it Up
I think it is mostly because we have many newish players that just haven't played in many close Collingwood games yet, so the plan to play the minutes at the death isn't being executed as well as in the past. But Dave, tell me you wouldn't have taken a draw against the Hawks before the game? We did very well even with Darcy's brain fart. We can compete with the best sides and I think we can get better as the season progresses.

hawks players hold their width letting their opponent get drawn towards the ball .... the number of times they were able to horizontally transfer the ball with ease to the non contested wing showed poor game management

hopefully teams wise up and learn to hold their shape .... otherwise hawks will murder you on the open side

Moore was on his own 25 metres in front of him at the kick in.

Great coaching game
Great effort - bar a few of our softer skilled players who had poor skill games

Counter attack against this mob seems to work, but need to find a midfield to squash them

Sick to death of their short people and big frees, could have sworn we brought in a Selwood rule

Their forward line isn’t good enough to win a flag but I do concede Chol is way better than I thought, with him they win probably but we had some out too
Gunston was unsighted after the first minute. Well held
