Baker is immensively overrated. Has the toughness and heart but he is a great role player and had the luxury of being in a dynasty. Some notes on some players straight off the bat...

• Tyler Young is literal dog shit 1 on 1. He's weak as piss. Decent player when unchecked but the opposition knows how to expose him every week
• Champion isn't ready
• I hope we tear up the 5 year contract offer we've made to Elijah because he ain't it. Another game where he was a total non-factor. Back to the WAFL please to earn your spot this time
• Cole - he's trash and we all know it. At least he tries. He probably gets a pass for a stinker this week due to his knee
• Time for Hamish Davis to go and work on his game. He's a strong athlete but when he gets the ball it usually hurts us as a team. He can't kick and he's a slow decision maker
• Maybe Jobe does need to go back? He'd certainly offer more than Young does. What use is he up forward when we're kicking it in on top of their heads every time
• Baker's disposal is a disgrace

I truly can't see us winning another game this year

However bad it was on tv trust me it was x10 worse live. Including the umpiring. The stand rule WAS NOT applied when we were 60m from our goal in the second quarter. It WAS applied when they were in the final. Everything else aside that is the game. Over umpired shit D grade blight on AFL that game.

People massively underestimate how many mediocre AFL players there are running around that only look decent because they happen to play in system that suits them and a great team. West coast have fallen into this trap a lot over the last decade.

Can we stop this nonsense that Ginbey is a KPD. He's a medium sized defender.

He should be but you take him off the best talls and we are going to see more and more bags kicked by the best oppo. Young played well and his best game but he was absolutely shit house again on his time on lynch and was ragdolld by faull a few times.

Also Ginbey size wise is very similar to Steven May as well as Wilkie. Would love to have him freed up to be more offensive but he is playing like an All Australian key back atm

Those two goals in the last minute of the third were the game. We were never winning from there.

There was a passage in the last where we managed to move it from the tigers 50 to ours, via the wing with out a genuine effect disposal. It was even the good kind of chaos ball. It was u12 stuff. Embarrassing

That one play in the lead up to Dursmas goal was the only time we went fast and direct through the middle. Low and behold the fifty was wide open.
Speed through the middle is how the game of 2026 is played. Since the port game, we refuse to have any run from behind. We go slow and wide which just causes congestion up the ground.
Without any small pressure forwards, when the ball hits the deck, it comes straight out and straight back in speed.

Every week we lose to what we know.

It's genuinely infuriating watching this team ATM.
