All part of the plan dissappointing performance just need to keep woŕking. Addressed the selection of going short by minimising it. It's apparently all about getting the games into the kids.

Now this isn't going to impress most on here BUT here IMO is what we need to do.

Puts mouth guard in and helmet on as I start typing, expecting a barrage of & replies.

But I think we need a Coach thats Coached before at senior level and here is the most important bit, has a track record of developing the kids under his watch.

So the contentious part is this.

That brief is best filled by none other that Ken Hinkley.

There is no doubt Hinkley can coach and gets the best out of available talent??
Director of Coaching/GM of football and remove a few assistants to make the $$ available?

It concerns me that in his post game presser he said he saw improvements. Of course some of our stats were going to look better this week we were versing an absolute rabble. I’m starting to lose faith in his ability.

Would be okay with Hinkley or Longmire as long as there was a plan to transition to somebody else once we started making Prelims (Hinkley) or Grand Finals (Longmire). Sadly I suspect neither would be interested.

I think i'm done with Mini. It's one thing to lose to good sides but it's another when the way we lose is the same way every single week.

It's completely unsustainable.

Same faults as Thomas Frank at Tottenham who was responsible for probably relegating us. Same pattern. Get battered week in week out but gaslight everyone and say we’re “improving every week” or “winning more individual battles”

No campaigner. You just lost at home to a glorified VFL side because they out worked us and your god awful tactics. Your desperate team selection backfired but again, no acknowledgement.

At least have some ****ing balls to come out and admit that you didn't help the team win today because of your actions and YOU YOURSELF AND THE COACHES NEED TO DO BETTER.

Right now we’re on the way to drifting like Essendon.
Our elite talent will quite rightly want out of this unless we start to turn the tide.

He commands zero respect from players, senior, rookies or otherwise.



That said, i'm acutely aware that Harley having 3-4 head coaches (Simpson, Schofield, McQualter, ???) before he's even completed his 3rd season of AFL probably isn't all that fantastic for him and his career at the club. Ditto Duursma.

For me that's the only reason McQualter survives this mess. That and the fact he's contracted for another year when he shouldn't be.

We keep the young talent if we show them we are going somewhere. We loose them if we are treading water. We are treading water. The young guys will get over the hiccup of a change if they see progress. The gameplan of a weekend warriors side won’t do it.
