I wonder how Cory Len would feel if he or his family starts getting pinged in facebook now with random thoughts. May be he will think twice before causing a stir next time.

Would be a shame for the knucklehead 🤣
Just to be clear anyone going vigilante on this stupidity and harassing people is absolutely being a bigger ****wit than someone posting a picture of a whiteboard.

Not sure if he has been harassed, but if he has then tough shit.

If only life was only so simple.

If the person entered a restricted area and took a picture then it's a case of FAFO. Dumping privileged information obtained in from a restricted are on the internet is not the joke that this person thinks it is.

If the person saw it the whiteboard in a common area or through a window from the common area then that is the club's procedural problem. I am assuming that they don't get parents to sign an NDA. The club should own up if this is the case.

C'mon man, it was clearly joke about a mate.

WTF has society come to when snowflakes take exception to a joke that even Priz finds funny.

FMD; the takes on this are insane - even nerds like Gerard Whately have ZERO issue with it.
He is quoting Jay Clark's words.

Cal Twomey will still give 100 percent work-experience kid vibes, even when he 60 and chief footy writer.
I just love how Washcroft got almost weekly articles on AFL.com.au about “will he nominate Brisbane?????”; whereas Daicos got absolutely none of that, and neither did any of the other F/S prospects the last few years.

Although props to David King who on first crack last night suggested that maybe Cody Walker is weighing up his options and should consider nominating for the open draft because Carlton are dreadful lol

Ex-Richmond player Riewoldt suggested that he could consider choosing Richmond NGA over Carlton as well. Although Kingy did say he would love Cumming in Richmond midfield on the same night.

Bronte is probably sledging Jaxon as we speak about it, most people are nowhere near as offended as other people seem to be offended on their behalf.

Just another form of virtue signalling from the likes of Cal Twomey, Jay Clark, Sarah Jones, Tony Jones etc.

I'm not a big rugby league fan, but since I've had kayo a few times a year I'll occasionally skim through a Storm game. I don't care that much about the sport or the result more than a vague curiosity, and one thing that became bleedingly plain with watching it as a mostly independent afl viewer is that the commentators, whom I assume are northern staters, really don't like the Storm.
Most penalties they get are somehow questionable, and the game is presented mostly from the opposing teams point of view, what they have to do to beat the storm. It's really one-sided
I mention it as its a vibe I often get when watching the commentary and media coverage about my lions. It's not just the amplification of any negative story, be it lachie neale or this latest whiteboard. In game Hudson must have said three or four times how "well endowed with talent" the lions team when we did something good, as if tactics and spirit and selflessness, count for nothing, and how "his value has gone up" each time bailey got a goal, and as in every time we play a victorian club, the perspective is mostly about what essendon are doing, what they need to do. And if we get one free the commentators think we don't deserver, like the Storm they'll damn well make that a big focus. And the post match footy shows are only about the whiteboard or trade stuff.
I like footy, and I like footy talk, but I primarily like game analysis, tactics, what we did right and what we didn't do right. What commentary used to be mostly about in the 80s. It's so hard to find anything about the Brisbane lions actual match review in any of the tv footy shows, and this weekend is no exception. i listen to lions podcasts as it's the only play I really find any mention of it most weeks. It's like the actual game and the lions aren't interesting to any tv pundits beyond the shallowest "the reigning premiers flexed their muscles on the weekend".
Anyway, just wanted to get that rant off my chest

100%, another example >

I listen to different footy show clips that pop up on my you tube, this morning one popped up reviewing the round, it was Jimmy Bartel who is one of the few pundits I don't mind talking to James Hird about who would be leading the Brownlow at the moment.

They both said Nick Daicos, I do not watch many full non Lions games but from what I have seen and read(mainly on BF) Saint ND has not been that spectacular this season, he butchers the ball a bit, IMO Bartel and Hird are just following the Victorian media narrative that ND "deserves" to win the Brownlow.

So in a corrupt sort of way they are probably right. Personally I'd have Isaac Heeney as leading the Brownlow.

ND will go close again - but its partially just the Pies game plan is to put the ball in his hands as much as possible. So he is basically locked in the pies best few players every week with very few other players taking votes away from him. The nature of the brownlow will always favour guys in good but not great teams. Someone like Petracca will be very close though. Being best on in almost every game he has played.

But the broad point is right. The focus of every show is incredibly biased to certain big team in Melbourne. Very few others are even bothering to pay attention to other games/teams

If <insert name of an awesome Lion's player> played for a big Melbourne club he would be a superstar... how often have those words dribbled out of a commentator's mouth oblivious to the casual Vicism inherent to the statement...

Not entirely sure that's accurate - Daicos is leading the Coaches Votes at the moment, so he's had one or two slightly down games but has still been brilliant (as much as I hate to say it).

Harris Andrews is the one that stands out, he is finally getting some of the kudos he should of been getting for years, but I have no doubt whatsoever if he played for Collingwood:sick: he'd be a 5-6 time All Australian.

Fair enough, as I said I don't watch much non Lions footy, I have seen a few opinions that he has been butchering the ball somewhat this year. Also he would be guaranteed 5 coaches votes every week from Craig McRae. FWIW I agree with what KissKiss posted on this at #248.

If I could pick a player at another club to come to us for a year or 2 to get the 4-5Peat I'd be going with one of The Bont, Heeney, Kossie Pickett in front of ND.

Even though a lions supporter interesting only 1 vote for the bombers and nothing for Caddy.

What is happening to our world when we get this drivel from Jay Clark. Give me friggin break.

'But the dumb move in all this was the decision to write on a whiteboard Jaxon Prior’s partner’s name, Bronte, as the player’s strength.

In other words, the Lions are implying Prior bats above his average. The inference being she is better looking than him. It feels awkward to write these words on a page.

The AFL has been desperate to promote equality and respect and responsibility in the game but it would be hard for AFL CEO Andrew Dillon and Laura Kane to rubber stamp this one.

We get it was a joke that was meant to stay private but bringing in a partner’s aesthetics into an AFL team’s opposition analysis is uncommon and dangerous territory in 2026.

Of course Jaxon and Bronte are going to say they don’t have a problem with it because they don’t really have a choice.'

Are we intending to bring up sensitive little petals with this crap response.
I want this topic to die, but I think someone should double down on the virtue signalling back at Jay Clark and calling him out on sexism for assuming that the Lions players are referring to Bronte's looks, rather than it being for her superior intellect, charisma, and inner beauty as a human being.

I love the fact everyone is trying to come after us.... suspend our players, write your little women's day stories, question the culture

The trilogy movie is going to have an even better ending come the end of September
