I disagree that Long should have been dropped. We need his tackling pressure against Geelong. If anyone, Roan could have made way for Hayes.
I don't know if it's the horizontal stripes but a lot of them seem to have dad bodies. Are Geelong really that good?
Yes? No?
There’s something tired and fading about them. Like the colour is draining away.
I may be a bit anxious.

I feel for Hayes, he hasn’t done much wrong and was looking like he was adjusting to senior footy.

They play different roles/positions.Would've dropped Long instead of Hayes. Helped us with a few handy crumbs recently so bit disappointing that we lose that dynamic from the forward line.
West doesn't get his chance because Cameron is OK, which in itself is great. So no complaints from me.
Buller gets another chance to prove himself.
I''m really disappointed that Hayes is out, but Beau is a brilliant inclusion, and he's got pace to burn like WH. Beau also adds more to the midfield, which is definitely what needs to be addressed, given how much territory we kept ceding to Hawthorn last week.
Would have loved for us to have found a way to keep WH in the side as well though.
Maybe we could have considered Roan out, and WH stays in.
Sure, Jeremy Cameron was desperately hoping that we would drop Roan Steele.Jeremy Cameron likes this
Yes they are. They have the best 1/2 punch in the league through the middle and the most dangerous all round forward. Tactically and match up wise I think it’s a good one for us, but history suggests all it takes is Danger to wind back the clock and we’re cooked. Are Geelong really that good?

Chicken or the egg isn’t it?Do you think the Cats have actually preferred the all-in pressure cauldron, or do you think it was more that we had the game on our terms?
No good. I think they aren’t fit. And it’s more than the crap hoops making them look fat.Are Geelong really that good?

Shit cotton on training gear?No good. I think they aren’t fit. And it’s more than the crap hoops making them look fat.

Basically it’s winnable because we’re 5-10 peers on the ladder, but the bookies have it right, IMO. Hayes remarkably stiff BTW his two weeks prior were softer than against Hawthorn and it’s off a long break. Really confusing selection.
Ollie Henry is making the epic journey to Melbourne Saturday night. They’ll make movies about this heroic effort against adversityHoping Danger’s decline, our highly competent defence, and the Cats’ weak-ish rucks will get us there. This is where we surely compete favourably.
McCreery back is big for us, but agree re Hayes. Also hope the selection reflects one of Fly’s cunning plans. Will be a battle of two of the smarter coaches.
Always a good thing in a way when you’re dropping talent because of depthRightly or wrongly we are opting for experience. Feel sorry for Hayes, but I'm sure he'll get opportunities again soon enough.
Genuine 50/50 game for mine. Both teams can make a good case as to why they'll win on Saturday night.

Damn I’m jealous nowIt’s all good. Ollie and Mum have it sorted.
Mum will pick him up after the game, with Ollie’s teddy and blanky in the car. Then he can sleep on the way home.
Cotton and cow pats don’t wash well together. Should cotton on, it’s obvious.Shit cotton on training gear?
