Guessing Bryan and Blakiston will swap between defence and ruck, and when one of them is on the bench the other will stay in defence and Wright will ruck.

Alternatively, Bryan and Wright share ruck duties and someone else is the swingman to make the structures work, but the only likely candidate for that is Langford who isn’t really tall enough for a tall defender role.

Failing that one of the kids is gonna get thrown to the wolves. In that scenario my money would be on May.

We haven’t done anything to replace McKay. Don’t even really have anyone in the wings to replace McKay… and we’re already down Ridley.

Blakiston will play solely as a defender

400% Between tall 5 (4 on field st once)

90% Cox
90% Caddy
85% 2MP
75% A.May
60% Bryan

Zerrett Nguyen, ADW aint too bad (we hardly have anything else available thats super amazing tho.)

Why is langford listed in the forward line? It looked like he was finding a bit of form down back and keeping the others level headed

This might be the slowest forward half ever seen. Where the hell is th forward half pressure gonna come from.

Hopefully Zerrett is forward and along with ADW and Nguyen

We dont have anything else really outside of HEA that could possibly help in this regard

No point playing Guelf/Gresham at their ages and ability

So still 3 to 4 talls at any one time. Plus perkins. Ouch.

I think maybe caddy will be given full license to play up the ground.

Maybe cox key back at times.

Im interested what different moves we try but feel itl just be a super tall fwd line and we watch the opposition walk the ball out of our 50

Cox or prior could go wing for sure

Perkins aint a tall

Cox n caddy mobility excellent

But the main point is we have no other good options

Who for who?

Ideally I think cox becomes a winger. Suits the modern winger archetype. Don’t think prior should be anywhere near the first team. Just a nothing player and in the wrong age range for where the list is at

Except Cox has spent most of his career trying to play wing and has no idea.
Only reason he ran into a bit better form was the moved him off the wing.

He ain't a small.

Perkins ain't bringing pressure.

Cox doesn't have excellent mobility. For his height, he moves okay but he brings no ground ball pressure.

Cox - gresham at least

Id also prefer

Bryan - edwards
Redman for kondo

As neither look ready and wright deserves to be no.1 ruck until byran actually has some form.

Somewhat surprisingly Prior is the same age as Durham, El-Hawli, Jones and Bryan.

Bryan has only played 23 games and has been out for 12 months with an ACL. I don’t expect anything from him this year. He’s contracted for next year, so hopefully he can build some form and become our number one ruck by then.

Prior has been excellent down back this year

Completely different player to last year. really stepped up. After 4-5 rounds id have right up the top in our BnF. Played wing the other week and didnt look anywhere as good there as down back this year

Dropping cox destroys his confidence, thats why your not coach, saying things like that. We also dont want Gresham to reach contract trigger and he offers so little considering his age and its a position 18-20 yr olds can have instant impact in (Wizard, Gresham, Rachelle ect ect)

Redman is way ahead of Kondo, thats ridiculous.

Bryan has been solid in VFL and is only going to build on limited TOG. Hes our future, as could be Cox if it all clicks
