Reckon we match up pretty well on the Hawks and Dogs, GWS have beaten us I think three times in a row under a goal. Anxious for tomorrow as actually beating the Eagles puts us at 6-3 and a real shot at setting up our season, but I just can't help but feel we will come out horribly and Eagles are randomly up 20 at half time.
Think the Hawks forwards are going to be way to smart for our defence. If Rosas can kick 7 I dunno who's gonna drop Moore, Ginnivan and Watson.

We're conceding 100 points a game, don't get me wrong I absolutely love it compared to last year but it does mean we are susceptible to getting smashed if it's not working by anyone. Plus let's be real, Steele, Sparrow and Windsor just aren't gonna consistently put you to the sword and hurt you compared to other sides.

After this week we have:

Hawks MCG
Dogs Marvel
GWS Alice Springs
Pies MCG

Go 2/2 or better and we're in a great spot to finish top 6. I think we've played better footy than the Pies and GWS this year, and we're getting Hawthorn at the perfect time (Still think they'll beat us). Real opportunity now opening up, which means we'll somehow fall over against the Eagles tomorrow.
Love it. Would be a ****ing amazing month if we steamroll these teams. Reckon we can afford to drop two of them but should be aiming to just lose one. Bunch of teams fighting for the same spots.

I already said we'd lose to the Hawks, but the Brisbane smalls aren't too shabby either and we played very well that game. Think our system will have us in a lot more games than we think this year, but we will also be susceptible to conceding a lot of goals quickly.

I don’t have a good feeling about sKingball working out at Docklands, think we’ll get absolutely rolled by the Dogs, they’ll smack us in the middle too, esp if Libba and English play and the form Bont is in. But getting a trial run there tomorrow should help.

Nervous about playing North there later in the year though. Think we’ll beat the Dogs at the G in R24.

I’m pretty confident about this Hawks game. Am sure we’ll end up regretting selling the Giants game to Alice, should have sold the Freo game given we’re guaranteed to get rolled in that one, but if we’re serious we’ll beat the Pies. Then should get the Dons at the MCG, but Crows in Adelaide v unlikely.

Go into the bye 9-6 at least and I think we’d be pretty happy.

I reckon king Ball will absolutely suit docklands. That place is traditionally a quick deck.
I have no stats but I feel like this always is a huge myth. Never feel like the high scoring games happen there it's more low scoring.

Could be full of shit to

I feel like my impressions are skewed - I don’t watch that many marvel hosted games and I reckon half those I do see tend to be Bulldogs downhill skiing at home where one team does pile it on.

But yeah other than that I’m not sure it’s necessarily a high scoring arena. It should be given goalkicking is without wind, but there’s so much crap goalkicking any old stadium regardless of conditions

Melbourne scored 130 odd points against the Eagles at Marvel last year. So it is possible, and I hope they do it again.

I am enjoying this high scoring version of Melbourne as I think it really shows who needs to be part of the group going forward. This is a really positive way of exploring the list I feel.

Just looking at the last few games there, some pretty high scoring and beltings

Could be true, I can just think of more high scoring games from both sides at the G and SCG. Not as much as the dome

You might be right, might not be any different to any other stadium. Just guarantee perfect conditions being under a roof, so perhaps it's more of a case of less rainy scappy games like you get everywhere else. Anyway to the original point, I don't think it should effect our style. Perhaps it's slightly more narrow than the mcg but besides that I don't think it would be an issue.

Credit to him for resigning on top, a brave 11 point loss where they came from nearly 50 points down and never actually looked like winning the game after their opponents had well and truly put the cue in the rack.

Oscar McDonald named on the extended interchange for Freo lol
