Deserved to be BOG - But the tackle on Grlj in the last and then shoving the kid in the head led to him being booed for the rest of the game. Did result in a 50M penalty, and ultimately a goal. So he deserved the booing and the blame for Essendon not being able to mount a final challenge in the last 15 mins or so.

Wasn’t close to best on ground. Also these medals are meant to go to players who played in the spirit of the game as well.

yep one game is all the validation. From their seasons so far I'd still take Grlj, the kid is an absolute jet and is a more unique and valuable player for how footy is played nowadays. proof in the pudding though in five years or so

3rd quarter sucked, otherwise fairly good to very good.

Ross good, TT good, plenty of good. Not much was outstanding, but really solid team effort.

The whipping boys, Sonsie and Hopper were good. If Sonz got that goal he'd have had a really solid game. And Hopper burnt them off at least once!!!! Weird.

You can see what we are trying to do, and with more maturity and some better distributors it'll work. Lalor would have added several goals to us this game - time and space to work.

Many injuries, which sucks. Hope Faull is OK, will miss next week.

Oh yeah, great game from Shorty. Did himself proud on his 200th.

And Michaels your boy Alger, very good. I want a share of him too. Great leap, looked a bit off in timing, but so much potential.

interesting, I think Grill is a player too, of course, he isn't a bust.

I am really fearing what Robey will become though, yes time needs to tell, but the possible upside on that guy..

May went to the WAFL for a season after us, before he was picked up. So every club didnt think he was worth drafting when he left us.

Its almost as though some players develop much later than others....

40 possession game player would not be in the sides best ?

I agree 100% "in the spirit of the game" Parish relinquished the award due to his cowardly play of Grlj. But he paid the price of a 50M penalty resulting in a goal. What I did like about Parish's game - and you can call them junk possessions back and forth to Merrett - 40 possession will attract votes.
