It could be time to drop some underperforming Senior players like Waters and McPhee for example to get their hunger back so when they come back in they can impact games like they have previously. I know it’s a bit old school but it might instill a bit more desire in the group knowing spots are not automatic.
Well if no.35 in their twos (Palmer?) couldn’t contribute even minorly then I’ll stand rooted … thought he was pretty good in the twos

Or is that politically incorrect sorry - development game

Who are these 'untouchables' of whom you speak?

They have selected a few Twos players in recent weeks with Hansen, Howard and Templeton having a game or two each. Hunter Wileman has been playing.

That said, there a few others I wouldnt mind seeing have a chance. Rochy need more out of their small forwards at senior level.

Lioyd and Heine have been significant losses.

Surely Palmer, Dunlop, Kerlin, Sparks and Joyce would be worthy of another opportunity

There’s plenty of senior players not setting the world on fire at present

Hilly what’s the go with Ky last years premier and now struggling in keeping their spot in the six .Mooroopnas win today has really opened it up leaving 9 sides that can still make the 6 the GV hasn’t been in this situation for a few years interesting
good question
maybe combination of depth desire hunger
plus more teams are better than last year
thought we had the cats when we hit the front late in last qtr
but credit to mooroopna

Assume you are talking about older players like Bright and McCarty? Or others?

Rassmussin has been named in the best several weeks ... he has surely earned his spot. Waters and McPhee are both relatively young ... Waters kicked 3 against Benalla but we need more from him. Maybe a game in the Twos will get his mojo back. I like the kid and think he will do well.

Lack of speed appears to be the issue according to other posters ... Lose the footy and you look slow. Rochy got to the GF kicking through side's respective press. That is currently not working.

From my perapective Lloyd, Heine and Sieben were important parts of that system. All gone.

Seems to be a bit of finger pointing at the Coach amidst recent posts. I'm backing Ash Watson to get the job done.

Winning this Saturday against Mooroopna will help. See what happens after.

Maybe rochy is more worried about what the old Murray goulburn site will be used for !!!

I think this happens lots in footy clubs, when the twos are on a roll and the seniors are struggling a bit, the coach becomes stubborn as everyone is telling him pick x and x from the reserves and drop x and x in the seniors. If rochy lose this week, I cant see watson coaching next year

Quite certain this was always going to be his last season, regardless.

Not many have done as much for a club as he has, both playing & coaching.

Very few from outside the community would comprehend what he and others went though, after the October 2022 flood.

Care to elaborate, Yep?
I was told at the footy in Melbourne on Sat that a key sponsor at Ky has withdrawn their support due to off field issues they feel are not in line with their standards and they felt the issues were not being dealt with in an acceptable manner by the club. Long term sponsor. Unsure if true but sad if so.

Mitch Bright plays his 250th game for Rochy on Saturday. He and his family have been great servants of the footy club over an extended period with his Father Jeff serving as President for several years.

250 senior games suggest you can play a bit! Hopefully the Tigers get the job done on his milestone against the Cats.

Rare air for players to play that many games. Great effort.

Rd10 - start of the 3rd quarter of the season and some great games on show

Tigers v Cats - 8th v 9th - With how the season has gone for the tigers this could possibly be the most important game - a loss and they are at least 2 games away from the final 6 - a win and their season is back, and they may need to repeat it the following week against United. Their 3rd quarter last week against Seymour lost it for them. Cats have been impressive since their loss to Euroa with wins over Seymour and Kyabram, can they continue the winning form. Rochester need to win at home.

United v Seymour - This should be entertaining match at Deakin, with United in fine form with a win over Ky and then thumping Benalla, especially with a 9 goal first quarter. They have got off to hot starts in the past few games and Seymour will need to contain that to be a chance.

Euroa v Shepp - Shepp by 10 goals could get to 100

Benalla v Kyabram - This will be interesting with both clubs desperate for a win - Benalla have fallen off in the past 2 weeks, and Ky have lost their past 2 games in close ones, the lead last week in the last quarter but the Cats kicked the last 3. Ky need to win to keep kicking distance of the 6 and they will win.

Tat v Mansfield - Eagles by 10 goals but well done to Tat last week against the swans where they were leading at half time, they will be looking to improve on that and keep being competitive each week.

Echuca v Swans - From all things Echuca should get the job done in this game, but it may be a bit of a danger game and can they quick Swans teams take it up the Murray Bombers and beat their defence.
