I just read on fox sports the afl is serious about bringing back the reserve grade comp for 2019. Does this kill the neafl and leave 3 big clubs without a comp to play in ?

It might be difficult for some clubs but it must be good having more teams in the comp ! Stand alone clubs compared to third grade teams should be able to play Saturday a bit easier ?

Possibly . All I’m saying is it works in league there is 4 divisions under the premier grade Northside and Southside . Some clubs have 2 teams some have 1 some have 3 . They play fri sat Sunday . So you don’t have to worry about ressies if you don’t put a team in.

They could structure it like rugby league. No reserves there are just regional divisions. If your big enough you can have a team you can have a team in every division or you can just have 1 team. Your teams are then graded on ability. This could put a team like zillmere in a higher division but...

I reckon your bang on the money. Why would you want to play on Saturday for mb reddy or swans when you can play Friday night at Sandgate zillmere or Aspley ! Everyone is struggling on the north except Aspley who have big numbers in 4 teams!

I'm sure the zillmere lads c I reckon there chasing easy flags . I don't know what benefit it is to zillmere to play in a third grade comp? I'm sure all the other stand alone clubs are trying to push into saturday footy?

The eagles will go on to be the most successful division 4 Friday night team in the history of third grade! You'd think the club would try and climb the ladder back up to the top considering they were a powerhouse club!

Who knows . Maroochydore would still kill it. Or maybe the comp they were in was rubbish! I thought Aspley would be in 4 cause they get what they want . Getting 40 already.

Every other division has to travel so why shouldn’t 4 and 5? My tip will be Maroochydore and Aspley will belt the living daylights out of everyone !
