I just found out that from 1925 to 1970 while there were 12 teams they did not all okay each other twice as the season was 18-20 rounds.
Why did it take so long for teams to play each other twice (1970)?
Does anyone know the whys and where fors of this?
Why have Power prices gone up? Why do the banks screw their customers? Why do farmers have so much of their crops rejected by supermarkets for cosmetic reasons?
It's about Power. Market Power. Large corporations will if they can dominate a market raise their profits levels and prices...
The LNP made a huge deal out of the Budget crisis.
And after 4 years and another election they have done nothing but make the budget worse why spewing self congratulatory smug rhetoric about what great things they have done.
But they own standards on the issue they went hardest on they are a...
When the umpire comes in and signals the mark and the player with the free kick uses the ump as a shepherd the ump should call him back. and make him take the kick again.
Astounded by this.
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-penalties-sufficient-says-afl-20140616-zs9se.html
What the? IF Essendon down the track is convicted of running an organized doping violation the AFL is saying no further penalties?
SO either the players get whacked or no one...
not playing this week. Any other club find 7 other players better able to come into a side to play this year
1 Fraser,
2 L Brown,
3 Lockyer ,
4 Presti
5 Medhurst
6 Wellingham
7 Dick
now I think the side is better without the first three and best 22 would like Presti, Dick...
I think the mistake the AFL made with the new priority pick, was the two years rolling. It should be you got a priority pick last year you cant get one this year.
For every two years under 4.5 wins you get a pick. Tanking becomes less attractive as 5 wins in either year would put you out. Keep...
Voss ( and a few Lions supporters here) talking about salary cap concessions, say get over it, the Indepedant AFL commision has decided in it's wisdom to had out these concessions, and seeing the AFL commission is Indepedent and wise they are obiviously fair.
Lethal talking about the...
Just looking at the major flag conteneders , almost all the major changellers have come out of the season with more question marks than they went in with while brisbane enhanced their reputation.
Brisbane - while injuries and niggles have acculmated, Brisbane limped into september but still...
Port Adeliade - I was commenting on the use made of entry concessions which was good rather than how good the concessions were which was poor. I thought port got reasonable bang per buck for the concessions they had.
North - unloaded some big talent in Carey, mcKernan (?) and Bell and did got...
I think too many people are deriding port (some deriding required for the overly cocky type I know)
Gotta give a lot of credit to sydney. I would underestimate them at your peril.
Sydny now have a home prelim final against teh winner of a tough match , Brisbane- crows, with Brisbane...
Stan Alves said the scoreline flattered brisbane on 3lo.
I think Collingwood COULD have won by more and controlled the match after 1/2 time.
Brisbane were unable to run the game out with conviction. Keating injury didnt really hurt as THIS time Josh had his number (as opposed to Keating...
I posted this elsewhere thought this could stir up some debate.
Ok I bored, just my opinion on the offseason draft/trade moves by the clubs.
Adeliade - traded it's way out of a strong draft, for a collection of fringe players yet to make an impression,
Overall 2/10. (aside from...
