Figured out marking and turned auto-aim kicking off. Game really is quite good.

Somewhat figured out marking, turned the camera to end to end, started actually taking my time with the ball instead of rushing and figured out I was using the wrong button for tackle for the first five games. This is a fun game. Give it a good chance. Plays more like footy than any game before it.

It's a lot of fun, and that's probably all that matters. There are dodgy bits - the commentary is inexplicably bad, the AI goalkicking is horrible, the cut scenes/replays are pretty gross and marking/spoiling is maybe a bit clumsy - but none of them are enough to outweigh the genuinely great...

The face-scanned players almost all look brilliant. Fyfe probably the most notable exception. If you get a sec, check out Nakia Cockatoo.

Had my first few MP games after time in the (bloody excellent) War Stories. Forgot just how daunting BF can be when you're by yourself and out of practice. I'm awful, but still scoring pretty well by racking up captures and dishing out the bandages like nobody's business. Good game though.
