Sure, we're playing like rubbish so any win is a relief at that moment. In every way we have dropped back to the middle of the pack, no arguments there.
We have blooded heaps of kids this year, second only to GCS I think (that may be wrong)...yesterday was a must-win if we are to make the finals, and as much as everyone has written us off we are still capable of playing great football. No chances were taken yesterday, though. I think you'll find...
This. What all you haters are forgetting is what this same team is capable of when on song. We've played a grand total of about 11 minutes of good football this year, and if Lyon could flick a switch and bring back last year's form he would, but for now we have to slog it out.
Those were...
Like watching him play, he's one of those blokes whose energy and endeavour is unstoppable. He never gives up, and he never does the predictable thing. Sure, he gets it wrong sometimes, but he is a genuine playmaker.
Incorrect, we had more scoring shots than Adelaide but couldn't buy a goal for most of the match. 9.17 is an inaccurate aberration by any measure for us, particularly in the 1st quarter when we managed just 6 points due to inaccuracy. It's not the game plan, it's all between the ears.
They're playing like a team that's forgotten it's a game they actually like playing. It just looks like hard work at the moment. I reckon they need to lighten up and stop carrying around their disappointment as a form of motivation.
Easier said than done, perhaps.
I'll come with you, maybe we'll get a two for one discount?
I've been really calm until today - the game last week was amazing to be at, and I've just recovered from the shock back into active must-win mode.
The winner will be doubly happy because it's been twice as hard to win, and the...
Despite the crumbs he shelled out to charity, he turned out to be a bit of a Dick Pratt all-round, so you'll understand if I choose a life of integrity and honesty over a life of deception and greed.
Agreed, no complaints (plenty at the time though, of course!)...what is refreshing is to see a game where they do put the whistle away, if only they did this all the time and stopped playing the really soft ones that drive us all crazy.
But it's a tough job, and the umpiring was outstanding...
No mistake there. We had ruck covered when Gardiner went down, and went in with that possibility in mind. If you can't see that having another small served us you don't know much about St Kilda.
don't agree, it's rare and our game is not soccer, rugby or any other sport...keep the traditions...I'd be questioning why we have TAB vans set up next to the MCG more than dealing with draws. The AFL has sold its soul to gambling.
It's got nothing to do with how good he is as a player, it's all about how we want another small defender rather than a second ruck.
It's tough, but he can't play Baker's role. If we needed two ruckmen, then it would be Baker losing out.
Good to see Geelong discussing their discontent through official channels...the coaches floozie? Christ, the wheels are falling off at a rate of knots in Sleepy Hollow
