0-10 versus bottom 4 sides in the last 3 years

Yes that is right. Whenever we have lined up against anyone in the bottom 4 in that time - we have lost. Meanwhile , we have beaten or drawn with Melbourne, Geelong, Bulldogs, Port (all of last years's prelim finalists), plus Brisbane, Richmond, Sydney - all in the last 20 games or so.

    Ladder/wins since the bye

Since the Bye Port: 8 wins Sydney: 7 Melb: 6.5 Bris, Geel: 6 Haw, Bulldogs, GWS, Ess: 5 Frem, StK, Carl: 4 North, Gold Coast: 3 Rich: 2.5 West Coast, Coll, Adel: 2. WE ARE IN THE EIGHT! (And it was a tough draw!) With players coming back and organic improvement: 2022 will be just fine.

    No Free kick Hawthorn

    In 2020, Hawthorn are 1-11 in frees for v frees against, in the 12 games this year. This has included: - v Port: 8- 20, including 0-14 in the second half; - v Sydney: 13 - 22; - v GWS: 12 - 26. - v North: 12 - 21. - v Geel: 15 - 22. - v West Coast: 9-12. Whoever says it is not about the...

Hawks Record against top 8 teams

Been thinking what a shocking draw Hawks have had this year (4 games doubling up against top 8 teams), so here is a list of wins that each of the teams have had against top 8 sides this year: 5 wins: Hawks, Coll, Rich, GWS and Bulldogs 4 wins: Geel, Bris, Fremantle 3 wins: WC, Port, Adel 2...

Frees for Ladder - Hawthorn 18th

By a long way as well. Looks like Collingwood on top with 74, Hawks last on 42 and St Kilda is 17th is on 52.

Gold Coast v Hawks - any hints re attending the game?

I am booked in to take my 8 year old boy to go to Gold Coast to watch this once in a lifetime match and will spend the weekend in Surfers. Never been there before, so just seeing if anyone had any hints about attending the game, best place to sit, needing to buy reserved seats or that kind of...

    Best 22 of ex-Hawks

Seeing Lewis in Melbourne colours and the thought of Sammy in the Eagles makes me sick, so I thought I would turn my mind to a team of recent Hawks that we have let go and they played for others (not included Gary Ablett senior). Might have missed a few, and included a couple of Box Hill on the...

Why Freo will deliberately lose to West Coast

Freo are 10 points clear on top. They virtually cannot lose top spot or top 2 at worst. This means 2 Perth finals and a golden ticket into the GF. West Coast can hold second if they do not drop another game this year. Besides their game against Freo, they will go in as favourites for their...

If Joel Selwood wins the Brownlow

This would be good because when they present the medal to him, there would be no need for him to bow his head, he could just drop down at the knees.

Peptides! *The * Dopers: come smell the bull****! ESSENDON FANS NOT WANTED

AFL and ASADA: weak, and more interested in money and protecting favoured sons than the integrity of the competition. The AFL is not independent. How can it possibly be, that essendon get away with the following: - systematically injecting all of their players with questionable substances, for...

I want to see Gibbo kick a goal

Has he kicked one for us?

    5 goals+ record

I always thought you had to be pretty good to kick 5 goals in a game, no matter where or when. I seriously doubt whether any team in the history of AFL has had more players kick 5 goals in a game, in any particular season. 1. Buddy (obviously kicked his 13 goals v North). 2. Rioli (6 against...

An idea for a Fairer Draw

There is no doubt that the single most important issue facing the AFL competition is now the draw. Adelaide will finish 1 or 2, having played Gold Coast, GWS and Port Adelaide twice: massive ridiculous advantage over others around top 4-6 who will be belting the bejeesus out of each other in...

Channel 7 vision: wrecking great goals!

I am not sure if anyone really cares about this, but I hate it. Channel 7 always zooms in on the players when they are near the goals or in the forward pockets, so that you cannot see the actual goals and you have no idea how close they are to the goals. Nor do you have any idea if their kick...
