I found it odd the Eade traded for Vez but never played him! Bizarre really!
Everitt = still has no position. Where does he play?? Not a key position and not quick/mobile enough to play midfield.
To this day I still don't know what position Everitt plays?
He's tall but not a key position player, can't play midfield or a defensive stopper.
Where does he play??
Terrible draft selection!
The more I read on here the more disappointed I am in our "leadership group". Obviously they were not strong on this issue with Ward and it shows that our leadership team are not influencial and couldn't give a rats that he's left. Lots of cuddles on the way out...
Re: Let's get cosy with GWS and GC this trade week...
I can't see either giving up a decent young player or a half decent draft pick for veterans who only have a couple of years left in them. Not sure getting pick 50+ for Cross for example is worth it!
OK, lets assume he's as good as gone.
Can anyone advise what compensation we will get from the AFL in regards to draft picks?
The AFL is a disgrace by the way to allow this to happen. How we can lose 2 young players in 2 years to these expansion clubs is a joke!
We are the best side in the comp to get opposition players who are out of form in form! Petrie hasn't touched the ball in weeks as everyone knows to double team him which shuts him out and North will lose. Not against us though!
IMO Jones has played games in the past even though he may not have deserved them (on from). However I can see where the club was going as he needed to develop for us to get better.
The Tim Walsh injury excuse is a cop out. Showed zero signs of being an AFL player before the injuries. After being delisted he played local footy and still couldn't get a kick and that wasn't because of injuries.
Probabaly the biggest recruiting stuff up in our history.
I call it the "new contract syndrome".
Play good consistant football for a few years and then the player manager has you by the balls...have no choice but to offer a large contract otherwise he will walk.
Once the contract has been signed then the motivation drops thus performance drops as well...
Re: What time will Eade be given his marching orders?
Can't see it happening. Our assistants are all specialists in certain parts of the ground. Can't see Montgomery, Dean or Williams getting the main gig anytime soon. They'll wait to the end of the season and see who's available.
Don't forget Lake in all this mess. He's sitting on his lazy arse at home while we're getting flogged. If he was serious and fit we might have won a couple of those close games? Now it's too late, season over.
