The Good, Bad and Ugly vs. Hawthorn Hawks

Practising his celebrations and getting his face on bus stops probably wasn't ideal for his development. I feel sorry for the kid. On SM-S901E using BigFooty.com mobile app

The Good, Bad and Ugly vs. Hawthorn Hawks

It's refreshing to see someone put the heat on the player rather than blaming recruiters or the match committee. Rachele played game one after being drafted and started on fire. He was given every opportunity right from the start. The slide has been slow and steady. Is it development or is it...

...before being drafted to St Kilda in the Mid-Season Draft yesterday evening thanks to a mild back issue that kept him out of the game. Chad Wingard, on the comeback trail after tearing his Achilles tendon late in season 2023, kicked two goals for Box Hill from 11 disposals to be the only...

100%. I would play 2/3 of Gunston/Breust and Wingard at most (with one as the sub to provide coaching from the bench). Rotate them to get them through the season.

    Preview Round 12, 2024: Hawthorn v Adelaide Crows, 1 June 2024, 1.45pm @ MCG

Until finals looks like a reality and Chad looks too good for VFL level then I personally wouldn't be playing him at all. Currently neither of those things are happening. As a result I don't really understand what a forward line of Gunston, Breust and Wingard does to help us in a development...

Bris 108 to BH 35. Many words to describe that performance but I’ll refrain. I did only watch the second half so I would defer to the reports of others for a complete picture. Please no repeat tomorrow. Ward: our best player but that isn’t saying much. Aside from a terribly soft 5 minutes he...

Wingard has not played a game this season. Even the most militant Hawthorn fans would not say he should be in contention for an AA so far this year.

Not uncommon. We agreed to trade value for Wingard with Giants, then told Giants they could talk to Chad. Chad said “no thanks”.

On Wingard, quite stiff considering his form backend of 2021 was elite. Played a role in 2022 but mainly before his Achilles snap in 2023 he was electric. He’ll come back in a couple weeks and will be a huge addition to a young hawthorn side. Provides leadership and oozes class still.

Guelfi didn't really play forward until the second half of 2022. He was used as a jack of all trades. He's a handy depth player at worst, really. Since moving forward he's about a goal a game, but keeps getting injured.
