Re: Essendon V Port (7/04) - Ins, Outs & all other pre-match discussion I think people are just happy we won. Last year, with the opposition kicking 3 goals in 3 minutes on the half time siren, we would have come out after half time and lost by 7-8 goals. Maybe more.

Agree. His form in mid 2001...I reckon he was the best player in the land at that point. He had an unstoppable 4 or 5 weeks there. Always admired how he went about his footy. One of my all time favourite players.

Dunno. It could be the best thing ever for him or it could do nothing for him. hes thats sorta player. Id suspect he'd have a great first year then drop off into contentness and do nothing. We all wanted Cain to make it...his size and build are impressive features as well as his pace off...

Welsh is probably the toughest young defender in the league. Good player. I like watching him play. Will be All Australian back pocket in two years.
