Gave attack on titan another go and whilst it was a struggle early on with all the yelling and weeping kid soldiers the third season reached the level I was after. It was brilliant.

Technically vegeta defeated cell and stopped majin buu from destroying the earth. vegeta has always been the real hero.

Havnt watched anime for atleast a decade now. Do any shows of the past 10-15 years stand up to the quality of the big hitters of the past? In terms of amazing adventure, emotional intensity, intellectual complexity, deep characters. Sure i know there will be some that do one of these things well...

The finale (10 episode or so revolution in the city) of brotherhood is brilliant and an amazing ending. However, the overall quality of writing and music is much better and more mature in the first but it lacks the finale since it wasnt written at that point.

It takes off around episode 14-15 where it stops being a silly monster of the week show and becomes a serious intellectual mind trip with emotional intensity turned up to 10. The last 10 episodes are some of the greatest tv ever put together. You just missed out.

Does this show have any of the genuine emotion of Z? Saw the first two movies of super and it seems like Toriyama loves his characters so much now that he will never put them in serious jeopardy so havent bothered with the show. Surprised its up to six seasons though. Someone must be watching it.
