Not sure the Gibbs deal is really appropriate to use given the circumstances. Adelaide were runners up and considered him the missing piece of the puzzle, hence the willingness to pay a premium. Not sure that Collingwood or Essendon would be as desperate to get Beams on their lists, which would...
I did see that, but doubt cap space is the issue. Makes for a good narrative though.
I am a little disappointed, not because of Schache per se, but because I was looking forward to 2 weeks of banter on the trades board with BRAB
You’re one of the more rational ones in all honesty. The trade scenario you put forth on our board was not ideal imo, but palatable if it were to come to fruition.
For the right price I’m open to it. If you check my post history I was very against it earlier in the year when crazy numbers were being thrown around. Still against it if the price is too high.
So like... here and the trades board? Oh and the Collingwood board trade thread naturally. You seem to be getting a little bit emotional over this. I’d advise you that it’s not unusual for somerone to be interested in discussing a trade for a player their club has been linked with, regardless of...
Here I am. Talking about a hypothetical trade my club has been linked to. Just as I wouldn’t be here if Collingwood was not linked.
Shocking, isn’t it?
For Brisbane, it’s a great deal. Not so much Collingwood.
It’s really not.
Meh. I’m not sold on Schache enough to lose sleep if we don’t get him. In two years if he’s still miserable and underperforming we might chuck a late pick your way and give him a chance.
Likewise I think that Collingwood and Richmond will be pretty coy going in to any discussions given the circumstances. Sounds very much like player and club have come to an agreement rather than a trade request being made because of other clubs actively pursuing him.
