Preview Finals Week One: Brisbane Lions vs Richmond Tigers @ The Gabba, Friday Oct 2, 7:50pm

Very noisy the Gabba,I was there. 2017 prelim versus the Giants is the loudest I have witnessed, when Lambert kicked the opening goal,it was deafening, like the space shuttle flew over,my gf blocked her ears. 90k Tigers at the ground so understandable.

The swallowed whistles are even more. Umpires need stomach pumps after our games. In history, teams on top and won flags have had great runs with the umpires, not Richmond.

Had a few beers with some Lions at Y and J’s,G game, two Glaswegian Aussies and a Welsh. Good luck all,I think the general consensus is if we don’t make it,which I bloody hope we do,that the team we will be barracking for is the Lions. Cya up in sunny Qld.

The rest will benefit Grimesy who looked like he may have been injured for the season in the Eagles game. Same with Cotchin who only just got back into the team last week,Rioli lifting at the right time and loves the big games like Dusty. Trembling though,Gabba is gonna roar for the two big cats.

    Stats....Bah!!!

Rest In Peace=RFC.:( No one in the next 20 years will see RFC winning a premiership and that's being optimistic. The club is a shadow of it's former self back in the glory days of the 60s and 70s. Well done Lions-too bloody good.

    Bad luck Brisbane

As A Tiger,I'd like to congratulate the Lions for giving us neutrals the best football enertainment in the last 4 years-a fantastic effort and which will be hard to beat in the modern era(3 flags and one runners up). I wouldn't write the Lions off either in 2005.

    Yawn?

As a Richmond supporter looking from the fence, you guys played indifferently and still only lost by ten points without Vossy and Lepper so I wouldn't be worried at all. Their endeavour and hunger still seems to be there . Good luck this year - us Tiger supporters look at your team in awe...

Does it really matter if we don't win the flag this year or get knocked out???

Wished my club could do the same. Loved watching em knock off the bombers and lesser the pies (my mum's a pie). No matter what happens ,they've done their fans proud with the achievements of the last 3 years.
