Come on mate, he's trying things.
He's playing shitter players eith the same gameplan, because the gameplan wasn't working with the better players.
You gotta give him credit for that.
How many times do we see JUH, Naughton, Weightman and Lobb contest for the same ball in the air. Potentially one less big target up there will allow the other forwards an opportunity to compete against their opponent and not a teammate & 2 opponents.
Naughton going back also allows for our 3rd...
100% agree. Naughton is not a stay inside the 50 forward, he needs to roam up the wings to get hands on the ball. I'm not sure what's happened to the days where he was free to roam and take hangers all over the ground.
For me, its more disillusion with Bevo. Same s**t every year, we play below our potential and nothing seems to change on gameday.
Players played out of position, unable to halt / change momentum, questionable selections and general look at puzzlement on Bevo's face.
Only going by what I was told from a family member.
The dogs were 100% right to not draft him but that's the story; they gave assurances that they would draft him, but they didn't.
I was in there the other night and they've started installing glass on the top level. Redevelopment is looking great and the playing surface is like carpet.
I have serious doubt that this will happen with the way 2023 ended.
A lot of members are upset about an internal "review" that ticked off on coach, football director, CEO & president despite one of the most disappointing seasons for the dogs in recent memory.
I echo your sentiments. I haven't been to one match this year despite having a reserved seat. Cannot be arsed wasting my time that gives me zero enjoyment with the current set up. I don't remember ever feeling this way, even during the Rohde, McCartney years.
Do yourselves a favour and watch the following video of the coaches mic'd up for the 2021 GF. The contrast between Goodwin and Bevo is stark.
Goodwin was tactical, with his head always in the game; able to make moves to combat our strengths as they came.
Bevo on the other hand; ill let you...
5. English - Was huge
4. Treloar - Worked hard on and off the ball, seemed like he was everywhere
3. Daniel - See above
2. Jamarra - Probably our only forward who actually looked like doing anything. Was lively and aggresive. Needs to start hitting the scoreboard.
1. Dale - Maybe?
Was going to...
Same s**t every week. It's either smash it in the middle or bust. We cannot defend a turnover, the opposition always happens to get one v ones out the back whilst we bomb long to a crowded forwardline with Naughton as the only plan
I've had a pretty seamless process all season. Got front row tickets on the wing for the saints game and pretty much had the same seats for the GC game. Havent really had an issue so far.
Would take the deal regardless of the culture.
We hardly had a winning culture beforehand, and at least now, we've all got awesome memories of that one day in 2016 to take with us to the grave.

Good article about the impasse with Libba and the club. Very happy that the club wanted to do its due diligence first.
EDIT: Just saw someone else post this article previously. Carry on
This is my take - will try answer all these questions:
1. There was a meeting in the week after the GF win with senior football staff, that the current list in 2016 would not be able to perform at a level high enough for sustainable success & therefore the club would plan for the future. This...
