Did you miss the part where I said I hadn't defended Hewitt for ages now?
Anyway, the bogan comment was more to do with the boozer mentality of cricketers. Not on-field where the Australian team are far from angels either.
I disagree. Firstly, I wouldn't have defended Hewitt for quite a while now. Secondly,he may carry on a bit on court but I don't consider him a sore loser. Maybe sore loser wasn't the right word for Ponting but his comments were pathetic. I'm just sick of the whole Australian cricket bogan...
It's a bad look to be the sore loser. Sure be angry about it but put the anger towards the team getting better and put a professional face on for the public. Little wonder I can't stand the team when this clown is captain.
Great thread! Couldn't agree more with you. The arrogance of a few has finally come back to bite them. Oh for the days of guys like McDermott,Boon and co unlike the prima-donnas of today's team.
There's nothing wrong with him. The Australians are just hypocrites. After all the carry on and talk this mob have done on the field over the years........
Now that it's over - Relief.
What a boring, anti-climactic event. International cricket has lost me and I couldn't be happier. I've got enough other sports that I need to spend my spare time following.
Well said. Good point was made over here in the paper today that a state like SA should look at recruiting in the future due to the smaller population, somewhere like Victoria should never need to.
Envy of what??? Bottom line is that you won nothing of importance this season either. That's all anyone remembers. Just like the other bridesmaid victorian sporting teams bar Melbourne Victory.
BTW, Bentleigh (I don't think this tosser is around here anyway, typical), who took so much delight...
It's cyclical. Several years back we were dominant (bar the redbacks!)
I'm just glad that soccer aside, Victorian teams are spending their cycle at the top as bridesmaids. :thumbsu:
