Moved Thread James Hird - is it time to give him a second chance at coaching an AFL club? Gil says yes! - The PEDs Forum Version

I mean, at least now will be the right time for him to reveal the truth about what really happened? Spreadsheets, and all?

    Rioli urine test tampered

The AFL are trying to work out how they can give him a minor penalty without it being appealed.

    Rioli urine test tampered

How do you know its ASADA ? Doesnt the AFL do the kangaroo court?

    Bruce Francis has replied.

This release of info means nothing until Caro weighs in. Or Tania shares her notes. Has Bruce asked for those as well?

    Rioli urine test tampered

Kane Cornes saying its taking too long. He is getting 2 years minimum. Which is Sept 2021. Should get 4 years. Not sure what the rush is. He isnt playing any time soon. Nor even training.

Time for AFL to part ways with ASADA

WADA prosecuted the exact same case. The only difference was an independent judge, not the sham the AFL set up.

Time for AFL to part ways with ASADA

It takes as long as it takes to ensure they get convictions for drug cheats. If they are so amateur, how did they take on the AFL and win and get the largest guilty finding in the history of team sport anywhere in the world ?

Graham Cornes: Bruce Francis’ dogged fight to clear the names of the Essendon 34

And the insurance company which decided to not contest the claims (and most likely would have won) became a major AFL sponsor. Nothing to see here at all !

Graham Cornes: Bruce Francis’ dogged fight to clear the names of the Essendon 34

At the time the AFL requirement was what I said (unless they wrote it as soon as they heard about Essendon "self reporting"). What WADA required was different and was along the lines of your point. However, not one of them ever wrote any injections on the WADA form. Despite them all getting...

Graham Cornes: Bruce Francis’ dogged fight to clear the names of the Essendon 34

So where are all the records? Every player must make a complete list of all the injections and medicines they take. They must provide it to the club. The club must keep copies and provide to the AFL chief medical officers. Every player gets told this at least twice a year. Every club doctor...

And when will Hird reveal the truth? He said it would all come out in time. Its now 7 years.

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

ASADA and the NRL came out smelling like roses because they did the right thing. The AFL came out covered in a stench because they thought they could undermine ASADA and let Essendon getting away with the largest scale doping in professional team sport anywhere in the world. Yes. Try and find...

Cronulla took their medicine and noone cares. Literally. They were pissed off at pleading guilty having been duped by a con artist. But everyone moved on.

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

Should be stickied. Along with the reporting requirements the players deliberately avoided. Jobe admitted to having dozens of injections but never listed them. Did he forget each and every time ? Collectively there were hundreds and hundreds of injections. Every single player forgot to report...

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

More drugs in sport. Yes. Awesome. Bring back the East Germans in the 70s, and Chinese in the 90s. And have athletes mysteriously dying in their 30s and 40s.

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

They couldnt. He was a 3rd party contractor no longer associated with the club so they had no power. The govt passed legislation to remove the requirement to still be working for the club but backdated laws are often struck out by courts so ASADA focussed on the club and players.

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

How did ASADA bungle? They did everything correctly. Every step of the way. The only bungling was the AFL Kangaroo Court. They should have given the players half a season. By letting them off it opened the door to international scrutiny and WADA were always going to appeal.

The possibility of Essendon innocence: a travesty of justice or conspiracy theory for the ages?

Rubbish. He never came close to his 2012 before or after. And Essendon never had as many soft tissue injuries before or after.

Only the players are responsible for what the players put inside their bodies. And recording it and reporting it appropriately.

The Herald Sun is as legitimate as an anti vaxxer website. Essendon supporters are like hippies who dont trust doctors but will buy acid from strangers.

Further? Are you implying this has happened ever before? Im sure Essendon must once again be loving the scab being removed.

Shayna Jack:- Will her case prove Australia's hypocrisy?

And I suspect a lot of the 60 or 70 a year come from those ranks. Serious athletes tend to be far more careful which is why we so infrequently hear about top athletes getting pinged - even though I bet they get FAR more tests each year than Joe Average the Weekend Footy Player.

Shayna Jack:- Will her case prove Australia's hypocrisy?

Plenty of Olympians dont make a living from their sport. Most, in fact. Are you suggesting they are doing lines of speed and popping pills without caring about the anti doping code?

Shayna Jack:- Will her case prove Australia's hypocrisy?

We are. 2 cricketers got hammered for ball tampering. What penalties do other countries hand out? How many tests do we do each year and how many do Russia do? Australia leads the charge on anti doping. Has for decades. But yeah, we are the laughing stock compared to China, Jamaica, Romania.

Shayna Jack:- Will her case prove Australia's hypocrisy?

Population doesnt matter. Look at the number of athletes. And look at how seriously our top sports take anti doping and how seriously other countries do.

Shayna Jack:- Will her case prove Australia's hypocrisy?

Wouldnt that make us experts? We have very good testing and catch a lot of cheats. Therefore would be in an ideal place to offer opinions to others? Time after time we have seen countries hiding positive results and deliberately interfering with WADA. Look at FINA and the Chinese swimmer. WADA...
