Thanks for that.
So McKay brothers would have the longest initial finals drought from listing based on games played.
Ignoring those who didn't make finals it is also the longest on time as well.
That is a good example and there probably are several in the pre draft era where players could effectively choose clubs allowing brothers to easily go to the same club.
It would be different since the introduction of the draft, as brothers now get drafted to different teams and particularly...
From the 2015 draft twin brothers Harry MacKay (pick 10) and Ben McKay (pick 21) were selected in the first round.
There are numerous instances of twins drafted to different clubs, but Harry and Ben have now been on lists for 7 full seasons and a combined 137 games with neither having played in...
In the Bulldogs West Coast game Bailey Williams kicked a goal in the second quarter on both teams. The Bulldogs version added a subsequent goal as well.
Has there previously been 2 players with the same name scoring goals for their respective teams like this?
Amazingly that they are all from North West Tasmania and where born just under 8 months apart.
Atkins twins born December 68 and Febey twins in August 69
Did it happen at least within games with the Wakelin twins or perhaps Nathan and Mitch Brown.
Surely Adam and Troy Selwood would have gone head to head at some point.
The original list around West Coast was actually blank for Footscray/Western Bulldogs and you brought in Koby Stevens.
I just added 2 the other way.
I suspect the Bulldogs have been very good at providing players for other clubs and particularly expansion clubs.
2009 to 2019 is no more a decade than 2007 to 2017 despite the continual reference to decades (and centuries starting in years ending in zero)
The correct decade would be 2001- 2010. On a stats board we should get the basics correct.
What teams have won in every state and territory. I know the Bulldogs have done it. But has Melbourne also achieved it. I doubt any other side could have done so.
Actually only 22 games as the 3 of the games were finals.. His first year at Footscray were also the only finals he played.
so he achieved
22 votes in his first 22 games
9 votes in his second 22 games.
I am confused by your list of games after leaving Footscray. Where else did he play apart...
I understand what you are saying and I have no issue when it is put like that.
However, the millenium thing has already been happening with Destanee Aiava in women's tennis. She was born in the last year of the 20th century (10 May 2000)
When that starts happening I am going to be very irritated as the first player born in the 21st century won't be drafted until the 2019 draft and won't play until 2020.
Note the 1st year of 21st century (and 3rd millenium) is 2001
With Port Adelaide well on top of Freo, we look like having 8 unbeaten sides after 2 rounds, I can't recall ever seeing more than 40% of teams being unbeaten after 2 rounds.
Has there ever been anything similar in competition for 12 or more teams.
i wouldn't be too concerned as the pre-season has now become just a series of trial matches. Whatever the stats are this format of official pre-season trials has only been operating over the past 3 years or so.

Interesting how history is rewritten.
Some players on your listing representing Sy - Assume that is Sydney, yet their playing days were before Sydney existed.
They were obviously South Melbourne players.
Why can't the official records recognise South Melbourne.
Footscray/Western Bulldogs must hold the record of 300 gamers who started their careers with them.
Quinlan and Round reaching their 300th at different clubs after beginning at the Bulldogs.
Scott West and Rohan Smith played their 300th in the same game in 2006 (Smith's last game)
Are their...
There is the Tasmanian State Final in 1967 between Wynyard and North Hobart that never actually finished.
The siren went but the umpire didn't hear it. Wynyard were leading by a point, the crowd streamed onto the ground as the North Hobart full forward Dickie Collins took a mark 20 yards (pre...
No chance of being right if you wrongly attribute your quotes.
It is one of my favorite quotes but it belongs to Benjamin Disraeli.
Despite the remote connection it is surely designed for some of the footy stats that get bandied around.
Hardly a theory.
When you receive a piece of the pie, can you recall ever receiving more than 100%.
Sorry.
There is apparently a story where some guy in Palestine fed the masses on rations only sufficient for a few. He also apparently turned water into wine.
Perhaps he had more than a...
I know I will be seen as pedantic, but the heading for Football Statistics claims a 110% chance for the statistics board.
For those with any understanding of the mathematics of statitics, you will know there can never be more than a 100% chance of anything. That is you cannot have more than...
