What would of made this interesting is if Pickett had the slightest intention at the ball. Had he of stuck his hands out and cleaned cripps up at the same time then I'd imagine the Dees would have the same argument and be fine. But the fact is he had not even looked at the ball. Chose to launch...
I am with you on this. I mean for the most part there is certainly a swinging or slinging action which is why Hugh ended up where he did. That can't be denied. But also I feel Sicily didn't mean to sling it was more an unfortunate event with alot going on.
Ok. Bear with me. It "looked" very much like Ginnivan went on the field as Elliot had come off the field. My first thought was Elliot was injured and being subbed off. But a minute or so later Hill comes off and the commentators announce he is being subbed out. Now "IF" this sequence of events...
I'm just not sure this is the right decision. We see blokes crashing packs each week and other players getting sh*t mixed into the ground.
If Ah Chee was concussed it was from the contact with the ground. Not cripps shoulder.
I get that if a player chooses to bump and gets someone high then...
Greene's was completely different IMO. Greene showed a complete lack of respect walking through an umpire.
But I do tend to agree with you there. Had the AFL felt he done it on purpose which is clearly not the case then why only 2 weeks. If a player deliberately pushes a player into an umpire...
The contact to the head is minimal. Which is why Duursma went off with a shoulder injury. No injuries shouldnt dictate penalties but in this case I think it shows most of the force was to the shoulder.
Does this set the precedent for someone busting someone's shoulder in a shepherd attempt...
I know this maybe slightly over exaggerating but we honestly can't control this action. Only way we can is to go no contact.
This was a pure football accident. If people are going to get sued over these actions then I see no alternative.
Im so glad they cracked down on sling tackles and...
Mate. He attacked the football.
In all seriousness if he ran over the ball just to put physical pressure on the opponent then id be all for a suspension. But he attacked the ball. Not the player.
If he gets suspended the fabric of the game will change and to some extent it already has. There is nothing to suggest AFL is in trouble at grass roots and my two young boys are taught to attack the football at every contest. They are obviously been taught to care for themselves and their...
