Charles had Freo sniffing round a couple of years but is probably more of an outside midfielder than Henry and as such has less worth as there are probably more talented players in his position.
That said he'll be vital to Westies in a couple of years.
I assume you mean they'll take one year deals with their current club. Which is a reasonable assessment.
Although I think Thompson is pretty certain.
The problem for Carr is if Freo start to rise up the table, Port only get stronger on the negotiating table.
My dream is;
Carr to Freo for a single digit first rounder and a highish second rounder.
Thurstans to Melbourne for Thompson - play with some picks but not too much.
Resign White.
I'm not sure if Thompson to Port via a Carr deal is all that likely. I still think he's more likely headed to you lot Stiffy, due to the head start you've had on negotiations and the fact that we've apparently been a bit hesitant due to some concerns on his injury background.
And I've watched Schammer come up through the grades at West Adelaide. You wouldn't want to, but straight up it is a pretty good comparison. Both clubs don't want to give up either player. Ability wise they are pretty closely aligned.
And we'll go for someone who can play in the midfield...
Reasonably skillful, has played some seniors in the SANFL already.
Apparently it was raining for the 3km, according to Monfries in the Sunday Mail (SA) today.
Why? You would only feel like you're getting ripped off because you've given up something you didn't want to. You might just need to do that to get Josh. I don't think Port's demand for an accountable, hard at it, premiership midfielder, entering his prime would be unreasonable.
He's got a...
Depending on what happens next week, it is unlikely that Carr will go in the PSD. He would more than likely sign on with Port, rather than pack it up and go to Melbourne for the year. The difference with last year is that Stevens was always going to a Melbourne club so in the case he wanted to...
2 damn fine points.
Salopek won't be the player sprinting away with the ball tucked under his arm, nor will he taking a screamer. But he is continually under the packs and does know how to use it. He's the guy that gets the ball to a Wells or Brennan.
And on Ebert, quietly quietly ;)
The reason he isn't going to the cmap is because it was going to wreck his preparation for the GF. He essentially played CHB in the prelim. He's that damn good.
And really all people can judge him on are the games he plays. He's tough, dishes out the hip and shoulders, loves the packs and has...
Apparently Port were pretty close a couple of years ago(?). Chad Cornes would have been involved. Or was that last year? I don't know, all the rumours just merge into one year in my head.
