I can't fathom how you could end up there coming down the hill. Unless people were seated right on the corner next to the roundabout it's really hard to understand. Too much speed down the hill I would have thought you would end up on the opposite side of the road.
Surely the police have to interview the mother before they could charge her. I think this is the hold up as she clearly knew she wasn't a missing person. It's possible they drugged her and she OD'd.
With the last sighting on the Thursday afternoon, I think she has taken off and her not usual guardians have let her go thinking she will just come back when it gets dark. She probably wanted to go back home to Grandma or something which would be a common for a kid in this situation.
This is the thing I dont get too. Because anybody familiar with road from Hotham to Bright would know those fixed cameras are there, they are not concealed or hidden in any way.
Accessory after the fact. Aiding and abetting would be if they knew the homicide was going to take place which is a lot more serious. But something I am unsure of is at what point they can be charged as an accessory. For aiding and abetting you can be charged once a body has been discovered...
Reckon he already has. Seems too simple they found the body so quickly. Either his lawyer or a family member has given him a head start before calling the cops.
You cant run on the beach the whole way to Lorne from Aireys so I dont think its possible she fell in the water. Depends on what her normal route is, if a marathon runner I would assume she takes the edge of the road, Great Ocean Road has a sealed edge like a bike lane width most of the way...
Seems like a long shot if they cant identify the driver from the footage and are hoping to find a member of the public to remember a random event like this.
