I would have thought just marathon it the day it comes out on the Comedy Channel, die hards can IQ it, and then its available on netflix the next day.

There are also aspects of it that show great potential. It just far too often gets caught up in Sorkin romanticisim/idealism making it stray too far from a piece of plausible fiction.

Saying that the news from the recent past technique isn't a crucial component of the show is bizarre.
But if we're to take you're unique interpretation to it and consider it purely as a workplace/romantic drama then it comes up even shorter in my opinion. It's total melodrama that is sexist...
But it's not. It's supposedly a hard news program but is portrayed in the Colbert/Stewart mould of mocking the complete depths of stupidity of the conservative press/Tea Party movement etc.
