I have significantly more issue with guys like Quaynor and Borlase being tied to clubs through technicalities than the northern clubs having the chance to develop locals that add to the pool.
Its hard to rate form across eras and when one player is playing senior SANFL and the other TAC Cup but McLuggage is a lot more inside than Fiora ever was. He can win his own ball and knows how to get out of traffic. Fiora was playing as a traditional wingman who'd receive and then carry the...
Wrong player. Alex Barns came through Port Adelaide Magpies system and moved to North Adelaide in 2014 when the Magpies became the reserves team of the Power.
Baulderstone had a great year but in the end he was absolutely smacked 3 times by 2 borderline AFL rucks in Angus Graham & Brent Renouf (both now delisted). If you are struggling against those 2 then you are no chance against guys like Jacobs, Lobbe, Sandi etc
Crouch will kill it straight away imo. I think we are in for a good year with 4 first year players absolutely ready to burn in Wines, Viney, Crouch & O'Meara.
Had Colquhoun not been completely embarrassed by Jack Billings in the VM game then he might have got drafted. But as it stood, when asked to play one on one in that game, his opponent was BOG and won VM the match.
Its no doubt it was a surprise he wasnt drafted, but I think the queries over...
Leslie was a gun. Could play CHB and CHF equally well. Pretty similar to a Chad Cornes in game style. Brutal in one on ones. All Australian, won a BnF at the Bears as well.
meh. We've backed ourselves in to keep him, as is our right. If he still wishes to leave, so be it. Im not losing any sleep over losing pick 38 & 56 for him and I havent seen any other Port supporter dismayed over it either.
You're using Matthew Westhoff who hasnt been on our list for a couple of season? Good luck finding a Port supporter...actually any football supporter to help you with that one :thumbsu:
So 2 players that havent been on our list for 3 years who combined for about 50 games between them is...
Our picks in the 30s over the last 10-12 years have been ******* awful so im sure youll understand why we wouldnt just accept a late 30s pick when we wish to and hope to keep Jacobs anyway and we'd msot likely draft some bloke who'll be stuck in the SANFL reserves for years as his replacement.
a) We consider Jacobs a required player
b) There is no guarantee he will actually leave Port
Its amusing all these North fans coming out all narky over no trade being done after telling us all week that he wouldnt get a game for you anyway
I've said it before and i'll say it again, I think this is a complete win-win for the Crows. They remove the highest paid player on their list who doesnt go close to justifying that salary, who generally plays one very good game in four and will most likely come away with a first round pick and...
Does that include the two finals where Tippett couldnt get a kick and a large number of Crows fans were calling for him to be dropped for the Prelim?
Why should the monetary value of his contract offer come into the equation of what is a fair trade? Just because a club wants to stupidly make...
