  1. Eastern Rangers

Who is the best young key forward in the league (25 or younger at the end of this year)?

Naughton and then Allen. King twins close behind with lots of upside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Eastern Rangers

    Jack Darling v Jeremy Cameron

Learn to read what is written and who it was in regards to. Don't just look at the team i support and jump to moronic and inaccurate conclusions. Read before you post next time.
  3. Eastern Rangers

    Jack Darling v Jeremy Cameron

His goals aren't pointless. More that the goals in the absence of Kennedy aren't a valid argument ala Lecras 2010. Because he's not fulfilling the role of a tall forward irrespective of the volume of supply coming to him. Doesn't win a lot of 50/50 marking contests against competent KPD's...
  4. Eastern Rangers

    Jack Darling v Jeremy Cameron

Pointless if he doesn't play like a normal KF.
  5. Eastern Rangers

    Karnezis Vs. Darling

Well he didn't kick a goal against Fremantle but was still solid. Against Hawthorn he only took a single mark against Schoenmakers and it wasn't contested, what he did do well was work his arse off run Schoenmakers into the ground and snatch himself three goals. So it's no surprise he had a day...

    Jack vs Ziebell

This post made me vote for Jack now and into the future. :thumbsu:
  7. Eastern Rangers

    Andrew Gaff vs Steele Sidebottom

    Gaff can kick. ;)
  8. Eastern Rangers

Cale Morton or Patrick Dangfield ???

Dangerfield is a worse kick than the Coach killer, now that's saying something. That's all i got.
  9. Eastern Rangers

    Palmer, Morton or Masten

Morton could be less than a day away from becoming a star. How quickly things change. ;)
  10. Eastern Rangers

    Palmer, Morton or Masten

Good call on Morton and Morabito, just a shame about his ACL and botched recovery.
  11. Eastern Rangers

    Sam Reid vs Jack Darling

I'll take that as a complement on Darling's utility.
  12. Eastern Rangers

    Dayne Beams vs Luke Shuey

I'd say he's inherently better than Swan.
  13. Eastern Rangers

    Dayne Beams vs Luke Shuey

AI think the argument could be made to say Beams has had the best season of any of your mids. Doesn't make him your best midfielder but I'd certainly have him ahead of Swan.
  14. Eastern Rangers

    Sam Reid vs Jack Darling

Darling, but then id have Cameron at CHF and Darling on a flank. :0
  15. Eastern Rangers

    Rich Or Yarran?

Id take Yarran and play him forward of centre.
  16. Eastern Rangers

    Dayne Beams vs Luke Shuey

I think Beams is the better player at the moment, however they are different types of players in different teams. I would argue Shuey is probably more important to the Eagles than Beams is to Collingwood. Uncontested possessions accounts for 81% of the possession differential between the two...
  17. Eastern Rangers

    Conca Vs Heppell

Would be close to elite as far as his disposal skills go.
  18. Eastern Rangers

Would you choose an elite mid ala Ablett Jnr or Judd or would you prefer Franklin?

Re: Would you choose a elite mid ala Ablett Jnr or Judd or would you prefer Franklin? Franklin > Ablett > Judd. From a Westcoast position, we have young midfielders that are going to improve. Franklin to take Lynch's position. Gibbs can't replace Judd. You take Judd out of you're midfield and...
  19. Eastern Rangers

    Jack Riewoldt vs James Frawley

Jack by a long way given Westcoasts needs.
  20. Eastern Rangers

Who is the best inside 'mid'

I see what you're saying, clearence at the hands of handball receive or (contested) loose ball get , just like Marc Murphy. When i think of inside players i think of Swallow, J-P Kennedy, Priddis, Kerr, Boyd, Thompson, Watson, Mitchell.
  21. Eastern Rangers

Al 'BUNDY' Christensen vs Cyril Rioli?

Both played 19 games. Both averaged 16 disposals per game. Cyril averaged 77.2% game time in 2011. Christensen averaged 66.9% game time in 2011. Cyril averaged 1 mark, 1.2 tackles and 0.5 goals a game more than Christensen. It's my great hope that Murray Newman can emulate these two, he's a...
  22. Eastern Rangers

Al 'BUNDY' Christensen vs Cyril Rioli?

What humours me is the idea that Christensen can't be better than Rioli. He could be.
  23. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

Shuey kicked a goal from that pocket, 45m out right on the line with his left. Drop punt as well.
  24. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

No. You're logic is stupid. On the basis of current output. Sure. That doesn't cover the term "player" or career.
  25. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

In the race too the RS. Not on the basis of their abilities (that are very different), they are apples and oranges. Well Fyfe is the better player too date and they should'nt be compared less you include potential and attributes. Perhaps because Fyfe and Martin have played more games than...
  26. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

Except statistically there isn't alot between Shuey and Martin, equally they share common attributes. Shuey is a year older and Martins played more games. Fyfe to date has a decent margin on Martin for impact and consistency, same goes for Shuey.
  27. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

This. I see no reason why Heppell would be compared too Shuey as a player and as for the quality to date, Shuey is the better from what ive seen. The OP doesn't exactly ask Fyfe v Shuey as far as quality goes, long term prospects, form. It's just a blank question with one answer.
  28. Eastern Rangers

Al 'BUNDY' Christensen vs Cyril Rioli?

You could stake you're argument first Hyper. Cyril for me, however Christensen has a natural attack on the game and the ball that Cyril doesn't. Could be the real difference when we measure their abilities over the long term.
  29. Eastern Rangers

    Fyfe v Shuey

What is this. Because of their break out seasons where in the same year? :o Heppell and Fyfe are both tall midfielders/ flankers, they are strong overhead and share very clean hands in close. Heppell played of the back flank in 2011 but that isn't his future. Martin and Shuey share some...
