Ive been telling pretty much anyone who will listen. Within 2 years, Jack Darling will be the best forward in the competition. That even includes that bloke at Hawthorn.
He's that good.
Beams is the better player right now.
Beams has played 82 games though compared to Shuey's 52. That is 30 games difference or almost a season and a half. Shuey has some catching up to do and he is very capable of it.
Beams has had a stellar season though, crazy breakout season. Im hoping...
You know when player A is better than player B when the only people suggesting player B is better than player A is supporters of player B's team.
Outside of WC and Hawthorn fans, almost every single person has gone with Cousins. Most also saying by a fair distance.
I am a West Coast fan. But...
What I find amusing is Carlton fans saying Judd this and Judd that.
You guys do realise you have Judd-lite. He is nowhere near the devastating player he was at WC.
Original question. Gotta be Matera. Freakish ability.
Cousins has them both beat though.
Greatest Eagles of all time...
The umpiring was a disgrace tonight. Heavily helping Hawthorn all evening. I was shocked we managed to get up in the end. Franklin's only goal, he pushed not one but two defenders square in the back. I thought Shuey deliberate was a joke, he kicked 50 meters whilst under pressure?? Hawthorn also...
Utter nonsense. I think Riewoldt would struggle as a key defender. Doesnt have the tank or the foot skills to play as a midfielder, or the pace. Gun CHF but to think he can play around the ground and be a star like Pavlich is just nonsense.
Matera and McLeod were robbed though on Brownlow night, a couple of times each I think too.
Looks like Matera wins from McLeod and Wanganeen, which is exactly how I saw it.
Bock doesnt belong in the conversation.
Fletcher has played a lot more games than Glass so has longevity on his side but best defender of the 3 is Darren Glass.
I dont think Wanganeen deserves to be in the same company as Matera or McLeod. Simply not on the same level. He was a good player but Matera and McLeod had another gear that Wanganeen simply didnt have.
I thought McLeod got a lot of easy stuff off half back in the last half of his career...
Yeah you would be the only one. Bartel is consistent but that was Cousins' gig. You just knew he was going to bring it every week. Bartel is good, Cousins is great.
After Juddamania in 03/04, the way Cousins lifted again to a whole other level to remind everyone just who was the best player at WC was absurd. He really is a great of the game. Black though is also very good but Cousins best is up there with the greats.
Woosh... not as talented a footballer as the rest but you'd follow him into battle, like real battle, wars and s**t. He oozes leadership, was literally feared on the field.
This poll has been done a year or so ago and even after 300-400 votes, it was literally neck and neck, not a vote between them.
Both absolute elite players, I think Cousins absolute best shades Black and he can be more dynamic but im a WC fan so im bias.
Chris Judd's best is probably the best ive ever seen.
Kicked 5 goals in a half of footy at the Gabba against the 3 time reigning premiers Brisbane. Had 38 touches that day i think. Freak.
