I reckon Cook could turn out to be our next tagger.

Went from an attacking midfielder, hff'er at TAC cup level and his first year of VFL to a hbf'er this year to 'improve his one on one contests' and after that was used as the shut down man on the VFL's best small forwards.

He has great endurance.

Stanley is going to have his break out year next year IMO. Will be a future star. BOOKMARK it

Great kick for goal, strong pair of hands and runs so hard that Ling-last season super tager, had no chance of stoping him in the final.

I guess what TRS was trying to say is Dane Swan never showed these qualities in his early years. He was only a battler who could find plenty of it in the backline. IMO Dane Swan came of age in 2006 - his fourth season at the club - because to get to where he is now he had to raise the bar with his work ethic.

I doubt Sam Iles will follow the lead of Dane Swan, but stranger things have happened.

Dane Swan's footballing turn around was little to do with ability and everything to do with attitude and work ethic and a number of other factors.

I think it's pretty well known now thatDane was on his last legs at the club before pulling it together.

This change in attitude and work ethic can be put down to maturing as a person but I believe mainly due to the great leadership in Ben Johnson.

Ben took Dane aside when he was on his last legs and they made a decision that together they would give it their best shot. Both of them prior to 2006 did extra running over preseason to build up their fitness. Dane became one of our best mids and BJ had a great year too.

Yep Benny J has much to do with the sucess of Dane Swan. That said in terms of comparing Swanny and Iles, I see it in the playing style but not the ability.

Correct me if im wrong or if anyone else has heard, but i had heard that Holland was signing a new contract along with Fraser??

Thought I'd give this a bump and see what people think of the players mentioned and thier respective fututes.

Egan has lost a lot of currency not only with some uninspired ones preformances and some unintrested VFL preformances and is now probably along with Toovey the first in the gun at current time.

Iles hasn't been helped by injury this year and is in real danger of having people like McCarthy Wellingham and Barham take his spot in the pecking order.

Stanley hasn't been as good at VFL level this year and didn do much in his one AFL outing.

I actually only think any one will get delisted this year due to retirements of players like Wakes aswell as delistings coming from players like lonie and holland.

I would put Fraser in that list, we might be able to suck some Club in that he is of any value.

Iles, Cook and Stanley WILL be overtaken by Dyas, McCarthy and possibly Barham. I'd include Dick in that as well on the overtakers side when he returns next season. For people who have seen the VFL side play you can tell the likes of McCarthy and Dyas have that little bit extra class in comparison to the aformentioned three players, even if they aren't performing as consistently.
