Okay all,

we're almost at single figures counting the days till our 2008 season begins.

I'm feeling the ups and downs at the moment.. Judd debuting was a relief, but injuries to Fisher, Walker and Hampson have put a slight dampener on my mood.

Although I think we're a far better team than Richmond, this game will be won on hunger, and the team willing to put themselves on the line will come up trumps. So Ratts better starve the boys over the next 10 days :)

Ok everyone lets share the love and let Dr JJ1978 hear your thought and feeling with 10 days to go.

I am a lot more uncomfortable now with the injuries we have (thanks to Fridays game) than what I was before. We all have stated at one time or another that Carlton will be ok barring any injuries..... well now that time has come & we have those injuries (to a couple of guys & hopefully no more) & will put a test on the younger players to see if they can take that step up.
All in all, should be a good game but yes, (as long as Carlton stop messing about with the ball & stop over using the bloody thing) this game has become a danger game for Carlton & now a must win..... if we don't win against the Tigers, I am affraid it will be a step backwards & would hurt the Blues a lot more.

I'm pretty damn excited right about now. Now it's 10 days, soon it will be under a week, then it will be a sleep away, it's torture!:D

I would have felt much more confident going into the clash with Walker, Fisher and Hampson definates to start, but as it is not the case, I''m feeling mixed emotions right now. It's not that I don't think we can win without then, it's that it will be hard watching us win without them on the field:).

Then again, a win over Richmond is a win over Richmond:).

All teams will have injuries. It's part of the game. The real test is having enough depth to cover them, which is an area we;ve lacked for some time, especially last year, losing Stevens & Cloke, which probably cost us a few wins (but helped get us Kruzer & Judd!;))

and as you can see by my OP (that you quoted) I did say that it puts the younger guys to the test to see if they can step up & take the next step ;)

Can't wait for the season, even though as you said Hammo, Fisher and Walker are injured. Hammo and Walker i particularly wanted to see. But Judd easily makes up for those for the time being.
This is the first football season in a long time which i am really excited about.
10 days is too long...:D
