At the start of this year I thought he was keeping the jumper warm until Cotch took over either next year or the year after.

I think his leadership has been outstanding this year and I am happy for him to hold on to the captaincy for a few years to come. This is great because it allows Cotch to develop as a player first, without the additional baggage.

Don't underestimate the Cuz factor in Newy's improvement either...
