18th birthday present?

I've got a mates 18th on Wednesday night and am stumped as what to get him. I don't want to buy him booze cause everyone else will get him that but can't think of other ideas?

How about a hip flask? I wanted one for my 18th, and at 31 I still don't have one.

But it's something I've bought a lot for other people. Always handy, especially at the footy where their scotch prices are ridiculous.

How much does a hip flask cost? I'm willing to spend up to about $60.

Go for either a hip flask or a half yard glass.
If you get a hipflask get it engraved with something classic.

Last year for 18th presents a few mates put together for each and got a few people:
A Half Yard Glass.
A Yard Glass.
A Hip Flask.
A set of engraved shot glasses and some spirits.
A Bungie Jump

If you don't have enough money you could always put together with another mate.
Thats what we did with the stuff above.

You can get them anywhere between about 20 bucks to 200. Depends on quality. The cheaper ones are just as good though, and do the job.
