1980s socks

Forgot all about this in the celebrations.

Anyone notice we were wearing socks with the big white band up the top? Same as those we wore in Heritage Round 2006, and in the 1980s I think.

I assume it's because North were all blue, so we went as white as possible.

Just a minor point, but interesting.

I noticed it on Blake but I thought he just had his socks folded in a weird way.

I liked it, hopefully we wear them for the rest of the finals. North's clash strip was bad, as bad as ours. I hope we get to wear our hoops in the next two clashes (if we have two more)

It was one of the first things i noticed lol, i didn't like them they looked like girls school socks at the top but ah well

First noticed them on Blake too - then thought the same thing, that it emphasised the white - no problem with it at all. They can wear fluoro socks if they like - as long as they win.

Apprently Norths clash strip is East Ringwoods jumper. The way they played, if i was playing for East Ringwood, i would be demanding a change of strip before this weekend just in case some of it rubs off.....

Article in the Herald sun saying the AFL could order Collingwood to wear an alternative strip if they get through this week.

I love those socks, should be worn every time you wear the white shorts.
