One of the most memorable games from the 1980s, where Carlton were 26 points up 20 mins into the last qtr. But after Carlton skipper Mike Fitzpatrick was penalised for time-wasting by umpire Ian Robinson, the Bombers stormed home thanks to 4 goals in the last quarter by Neale Daniher, to win by 1 point.

Thanks for posting that. That was the signature performance of a man who would have gone on to be one of the all time AFL greats. At 19 Neale Daniher kicked four goals in the last after being shifted to the forward line while playing on probably the greatest half back flanker of all time- Bruce Doull. In the first quarter of the next weeks game against the Swans he did his knee and had three knee recos over the next three or four years. Daniher was named Captain at the end of that season and also one the B & F all at 19.
