A lot of articles are writing that part of the reason why we have had such a great year is due to only having a small number of injuries. Although Huddo and Stiffy did get major injuries during the year not a lot of players went missing.

My question to you is can this be put down to craigy? Great fitness training whereby players are less likely to get soft tissue injuries? Good management of injuries? Or does it all just come down to good old lady luck?

My thought is that craigy has done a lot of work in managing those players who have sustained injuries and still have niggles from them. Such as McLeod, Hart, Goodwin etc. I also feel there is some luck involved in not sustaining a large amount of major injuries, knees etc

Your thoughts?

I think its a bit of both.

There are certain things you can do that reduces the odds of getting a soft tissue injury, but there is nothing you can do about other injuries. There was absolutely nothing we could do to prevent Hudson going down with the knee, Johncock with a broken leg and Bode, Begle and Schuback with a shoulder that required reconstructions.

I think good managment is important in giving yourself a chance to at least control the bit you can control. There is a lot of luck involved as well.
