2008 Gold Members Carpark Ballot

I can only assume that there have not been enough registrations of interest before the original due date of 31 January.....and therefore all of the people that bothered to register on time will receive a carpark and the extension of time is to allocate the leftovers.

Surely those that bothered to register on time wouldn't be disadvantaged in the ballot by allowing an extension for any other administrative reason.

I agree Mad Dog but if I don't get it this year like last year I'll just go to Seaton High School again, they probably need my money more anyway.

Because of the members who choose to pay by installments would be my guess. Because they (me) haven't completed payment until Feb anyway, they/we haven't been issued with membership packages.

We've always gotten one the past few years by the old system; sending in a form the day we got it So hopefully we can still get one this year, its so handy.

I've got one every year it's been offered - after 18 years of buying a season ticket - 12 or so of those Gold - hopefully we can come thru again this year.

Same with us, although we do have 7 gold memberships to enter in the ballot for one car park

I think the lack of interest has a lot to do with the poor information as to what this car park ballot involves. For example I have never signed up to this in prior years but this year I received an email from the club inviting me to register for the ballot. I go to the website to see what this involves (cost ect) and all there is is a registration form. Therefore I did not register as I have no idea what i am actually registering for. Maybe the info was on the website but I could not find it.

Not sure if anyone else has had these problems but I would have registered if I could find out more info (easily).

Maybe the club's still processing renewals. My credit card hasn't been charged yet and I mailed the renewal in late December. I'll probably flick an e-mail off to the club over the weekend to see what's going on.

The only ballot I have for carparking is who gets the use of the spare garage at my Gran's house on Sportsmans Drive.

Beats paying ridiculous amounts for parking.
