Sergey Ilin Budivelnik (Ukraine) 7-6 1987 DOB

thats one big peice of human being

where is little shaq? whats the story there?

Yeah Joe Ingles a late second round pick (same as Newley) and will end up in Europe

Nathan Jawai should go late first round or early second round but I think he will get a NBA contract for next year. He will be a bit like Glenn Davis at Boston.

Just saw on C10 news Ingles has decided to stick with the Dragons for another 12 months.

By staying in Australia he has missed the NBA boat and IMO he will never play in the NBA now.

I love the NBL but it’s not a league for guards to develop there game to the point of NBA recognition.

Is it possible he will play college ball then? This time next year he will be 21 so by no means old which makes him still a year younger than the college seniors (Hansbrough, Collison).

Although great result for the NBL and the Dragons.

No NCAA college sports are amateur and he lost his eligibility when he signed on to play for the South Dragons

so ingles has done the simon dwight thing and decided to stay here. hmmm, maybe he realised he wasnt good enough?

He decided to stay in Australia only to make the Olympics, had nothing to do with thinking the Dragons will be better for his career. He can still go and do the Draft thing all over again next year and he will only be 21 then.

Nothing to worry about here, he simply was desperate to make the Olympics and play for his country, where as Jawaii was desperate to make the NBA.

Has BG promised him a spot in the Olympic side if he stays in Melbourne for 12 more months?

If he makes the side I would suggest this is the primary case because he didn’t have a very promising sophomore year. After watching his 2007/08 season it appeared he was coming from a mile back and had a few players in from, of course now that BG is the Dragons coach, this all changes.

How did Gaze play for Seton Hall then after being in the NBL for years? Not saying you're wrong but unsure how it works.

About 6 or 7 (maybe longer) years ago the NCAA changed the definition and application guidelines for student athletes.

In short anyone who plays for a professional sporting team (even if they are not paid) lose there eligibility. They did it to help the American athlete who was coming straight out of high school.

I'm pretty sure there is still a chance for players to nominate after the lottery which is tomorrow, so he may be still a chance.

Jawai is in the USA working out for most of the NBA teams. He is in the draft.

He doesn't need to nominate because he is turning 22 this year, which makes him 'automatically eligible'. Also, (and I'm not 100% on this) I think that when a college player leaves for a pro team, they are an auto entry in the next year, regardless of age. But, as I said, I'm not sure on that.

Players had to have nominated by the end of April I think.
