Am thinking Cox>Clark now as vickery i seriously cant have starting

2 trades left and I'm considering going Beams -> Hayes this week. But with Beams scoring so well, it is hard to justify that trade. If Luke Ball misses again, then maybe I'll go Ball -> Swan and just play Beams/Anthony as my 6th mid for now and possibly until the end. None of this could happen though, depending on how long Grimes is out for though, hoping he's back for dt finals!
 
What ever happened to Mods closing threads when they actually reached the post limit. A lot of thread-hungry heroes these days. This probably belonged in the vent thread, but oh well.

Vent thread is getting pretty big, maybe you should start a new vent thread :thumbsu:
 
Well, with 2 threads open for trade discussion, I'm not sure which one to put it in, so I'll go the new one...

Will trade Cox to one of the following:

Clark/Sandi/Jolly

If I trade Sandi in, I can afford Adcock to anyone but Hargrave or Gram. Next best would be Lockyer or Duffield.

If I trade in Jolly or Clark, I can afford all 4 of the above mentioned for Adcock.

This all depends on whether Grimes is back or not, as I only have Cheney as cover but would rather a gun!

Thoughts?
 
anyone know this extent of the higgins injury?? If its 2,3,4 weeks im looking at trading him to jude bolton, so i dont have to waste another trade to upgrade higgins

Need to ask for some advice, my foward line is the only worry comming into finals will be finishing in the top four and only care about league win.

Have $66k and 4 trades left.

Current foward line:

ROK, DIDAK, HIGGINS
SJ, DELEDIO, PAV, M.BROWN (Sidebottom, Ballantyne)

My thinking orginally was to downgrade either Grimes or Ellis on the backline as one of these two are sitting on the pine each week, will net me around $220k all up will have roughly 300k to spend and 3 trades left.

Then go Mitch Brown > Roo / Chappy

Now i have Higgins i can go Higgins > anyone under $412k, i was thinking J.Brown, Davis or Buddy.

So i am asking the following advice:

A) Hold out on Higgins, keep him play Sidebottom/Ballantyne even in first week or mabye 2 weeks of finals.

B) Trade Ellis or Grimes in the next couple of weeks get the $300k needed to buy Roo / Chappy, will leave me with 2 trades.

C) Trade Ellis or Grimes in the next couple, get Roo / Chappy and also trade Higgins for either JB, Davis, Buddy, leaves me with one trade for rest of finals series.

D) Trade Higgins, leaves me with 3 trades for finals and if i can afford to downgrade Grimes or Ellis then do it after the first week of finals.

I dont really want to get rid of Higgins but i may have to, reason why i may do it this week is JB, Davis and Buddy will go up heaps next week, which player and which option should i choose, Buddy is in everyones team in my league, do people think its a good tactical thing to choose him because of this? What fowards would you choose in my possie out of the ones listed?

OK so I'm f*cked. Injuries have killed me and I have 1 trade left.

I've got Brad Green out all year with my benches now not getting games, and Cox out all year with Mcintosh a lone hand in the ruck.
If I trade Cox I can take any ruckman. If I trade Green I can get any mid up to $448k.

Which option would you take. Cop a zero in the mids or ruck? I'm thinking trading Green to one of Hayes, Corey, Selwood, Boyd is the best option to maximize scoring?

Get the best mid you can, but avoid Ablett/Bartell, because there's every chance one of them or both are likely to be rested AGAIN. Forget the ruck, none will score any higher than a mid.

Who are your backups in either position? Is there a chance any of them will play in the coming weeks?

Like Bones said above, the best mid should outscore the rucks so that will maximise your point scoring. The other thing is that there is still a slight chance Cox will play again this year... well, he hasn't been ruled out for the season yet.

I'd be looking at bringing in the best mid you can, but be wary of Cats and Saints players in case they are rested.

Now to my possible trades - trading Cox and possibly Adcock this week:

1) Sandilands & Lockyer/Duffield
2) Jolly/Clark & Lockyer/Duffield/Gram/Hargrave

Not sure which combination I like the most... probably Sandi and Lockyer, or Clark and Hargrave. These would be my final 2 trades so money is no concern. I just want the best combination I can get.
 
Have to admit - really wish i could make 4 trades in one week next week

Am happy to cop all the donuts in the world this week hoping the likes of Grimes, Chornes, Purgoyne, Foley and Cox can make it back for Round 19 - however it looks like I'll have to make some educated guess work this week as to who won't be getting up.

had really hoped to upgrade Beams/Foley to Hayes this week - but with all the carnage - looks like my trades are going to cover injuries.

My gut feeling is

Adcock to Goddard
Cox to Sandilands.

I already have: PAVLICH, DELEDIO, DAVIS, DIDAK, FRANKLIN, LOVETT

Riewoldt, Chapman and O'Keefe are out of reach, so my options are anyone not listed above who's cheaper than Sylvia.

SJ, JBrown, Goodwin, Aaron Davey and Boomer are the standouts, but I don't really have any immediate preference.

Any thoughts?
 
Guys, I seriously need Vickery on the bench as i cant have him on this week for suck an important game:

Cox>:

Clark
Petrie
Sandi

I am thinking Clark as he is a Gun this year and i can pocket some dough for final upgrade

Opinion is apreciated :)

Important game for me this week and i rekon getting Clark and saving Dough will only lose me about 10ppg per week then getting Sandi but i can see where u r coming from

Same problem, IF he was out for just the 2 weeks then I would play Brown, BUT that could cost me anywhere from 50-150 points by not getting someone like Pav or Harvey. If it goes into a 3rd week then thats a major fkup by keeping him...

only 2 trades left, so maybe could be a better idea to hold them for now.

dont know dont know, big decision this one.

What's the deal with Grimes?

I don't want to be playing two reserves this week. One at the absolute most, and if Grimes is still out, I'll basically have to trade Higgins.
