A few weeks ago, after watching the highlights of the 2007 DVD I have at home, I decided to go through the full 2010 Collingwood finals series. Wow, it was amazing.

From the demolishing of the Doggies, to Leigh Brown's freak 60 metre goal against the Cats through to the heart stopping Grand Final.

Yesterday signalled the start of the Grand Final replay and I finished it tonight. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face whilst it was on.

There's no real purpose to this thread, more so advising you people of what I'm doing. I suggest you guys do the same, it never friggen gets old! :D

I usually watch the Road to Victory DVD and follow it up with the Grand Final replay.

I still haven't been able to sit down and watch the full drawn GF. The fact we 'nearly' messed it up is too much for me.

I can't and won't watch the drawn Grand Final. In fact I can never replay a draw or loss. I just don't feel it. I love replaying either the smashings ie prelim vs Geelong 2010 OR the 1-5point games like this years Anzac.

My girlfriend, who at the time of the finals was quite new and learning what it meant to date a die hard pies fan, surprised me with a gift. The drawn GF DVD. It's like getting jocks for Christmas when your young. Smile awkwardly, act appreciative, and hide it, never to surface.

Definately not interested in seeing it, everytime I see a replay of Milne running at that footy I feel a little ill that the little prick was so close to changing everything! Thank god for that bounce!

I think this might be a slightly more accurate recounting of events.

To this day I have never watched the replay of the 2002,2003,2010 (draw) or 2011 GF loses and I never will. Just seeing the ad for the 2011 documentary made me physically ill.

Yeah we nearly stuffed it but we didn't.

The desperation in those final few minutes, Leon kicking that goal in the last quarter, we were toast when Goddard had his moment, awesome viewing.

I reckon the draw is worth watching for the Milne moment alone. The fact that came after the Milne-Malthouse mouth-off just made it that much better. I don't think badly of Milne because of extra-curricular activities he may or may not have done, his on-field demeanour is enough to start me up. I'm probably lucky I wasn't at the game last week or Saints fans may have surrounded me with blood in their eyes haha.

Leon's redemption and Maxwell's leadership are two other reasons I can handle watching 2010. There's not many games in today's footy that you can change the momentum after it's swung full circle, and that's exactly what we were able to do.

Knowing what disregard a few on here have for Maxy, I can understand not wanting to watch 2010 GF because you would have to admit we'd have not won the flag without him.

I also like watching it knowing Saints fans watch it knowing it's the closest their team has got to a flag in almost 50 years.

Maxy's mark late in the last quarter was pure inspirational and a true captain's act which saved the Pies from a Grand Final loss.

Heaters smother will go down as one great Grand Final moment in history. Funny thing is Harley called it a big, big moment at the time and Cometi talked it down. Ol Tom wasn't wrong. Monumental act of desperation.

I find that fact one of the most puzzling and annoying things about Commetti's commentary that day. As Harley said, it was one of the greatest things he'd ever seen and I totally agree. The goal was a lay down misere and Heater turned it into a massive mind snap for the Saints. The psychological damage would have been off the scale at a critical moment in the game. It was a game changer! Commetti's comments, after watching the game several times seem to come from his penchant for making humorous comments at inappropriate times and totally missed the momentous nature of one of the greatest moments in grand final history. Bruce did nothing to help by suggesting that it was nothing great because if Roo had known he was there he'd just have kicked the goal. Well hello Bruce, that's the point ffs. Heater only got there through his absolute determination in the face of what seemed insurmountable odds. He had no right to affect that outcome yet he did through sheer hard work. Harley was on to it in a flash and later reiterated his praise for Heater's action. The fact is that because of Commetti's need to seem funny and Bruce's bias, it has never really received the recognition it should have. For me it was the defining moment and probably the 1 thing I will never forget about that day... well that and Didak's goal in the 3rd? quarter which by contrast has been elevated as much by commentary as anything. Who can forget... "It's bending back!"

Edit: Correction! It was in fact Matthews who stated the beleeding obvious that had Roo known Heater was coming he would have just gone back and kicked it.
