Here's a thread for the next 1000 tournament in Cincy, actually might be one of the few decently paced hard court tournaments left so should be good. I haven't actually watched the semis and final of Montreal so don't have too much to say about Nadal and Djokovic's form, still haven't seen their match. Federer is back and in the same quarter as Nadal. No Australians apart from Sam who is playing Kuznetsova tomorrow morning at 3am, Tomic got belted by Ginerpi in the first round of qualies and Matosevic missed the qualies sign up because he was still in Canada.

Coverage of the men's on ESPN all week and for the women's tennistv.com and Fox sports for the semis and final.

Good win for Sam berating Kuznetsova 6-1 7-5. Looking forward to tomorrows night session. Solone Stephens vs Sharapova and Kohlschreiber vs Federer. Wouldn't be surprised if there were some upsets in them matches.

Sam plays Hampton tonight at 1am, will be streamed again which is nice.

Watched those matches this morning Chris. Sharapova was horrific, really Sloane just had to keep the ball in play. Fed looked rusty and might have been lucky to get out of that 2nd set tb. Hope he can do well this week because having Federer behind Berdych in the rankings would look a little sad.

Yeah I watched the Sharapova match she was really bad. Was expected though her first match since Wimbledon. Agreed Im a Berdych fan but no way can he be ranked higher then Federer. No real stand out tomorrow. Might try watch a bit of Sam. Gasquet vs Isner could be fun to.

Nadal has been in ripping form this year, though. His 12-0 record on hard should extend to 13-0 today, and he has a 28-3 record this year on all surfaces. He enters the US Open in the best form... you have to give him a huge chance of winning it.

Nadal v the other contenders
Nadal: 8-3 V Del Potro (4-3 on hard)
Nadal: 21-15 v Djokovic (3-9 on hard)
Nadal: 13-6 v Murray (4-5 on hard)
Nadal: 22-10 v Federer (7-2 on hard)

The only one there who Nadal really struggles against on hard is Novak, but Nadal beat him earlier in the week and Djokovic is in some patchy form.

Rafa will overtake Murray if he goes all the way here too, which you'd think he would. Could conceivably be number 1 if he wins the US Open.

That would be amazing.
